  1. One range in NY does not equate to "most ranges". When you say that you load up to 15 rounds does that mean you are using mags that hold more than 15 but you are only putting 15 in?
  2. Sorry to hear about your bad day. I would be willing to take it off your hands for a few bucks so you don't have to look at it and remember that awful day.
  3. Shipping seemed fine. NICS is just really slow.
  4. You are going to have to, for a while. Ordered mine 4/24. Hoping to actually get to pick it up by middle of this week.
  5. Late November 2012 it was 10 minutes.
  6. Just a backyard setup. I bought some plants/trees from Nurseries in Washington State and up by The Finger Lakes in NY. Got my blueberry plants from DiMeo Farm down in Hammonton (Blueberry capital of the world). I have quite a number of different kinds, some send out suckers and spread like crazy and others I will plant the top of a shoot so it will root and spread them that way. I get more and more berries every year. Different kinds ripen at different times so I chose ones that allow me to pick from Spring-Fall. I usually begin to pick them by Memorial Day and continue all the way through to the first frost. Some even resist that a bit. Some types bear fruit twice a year. If you really like fruit and eat a good amount you should consider growing your own. Especially if you are interested in fruit that is not too commonly found in stores. I have seen some of the berries I grow in specialty stores going for as much as $20/pound.
  7. Wow. I wish I was there to witness this. Well done sir.
  8. I don't grow anything that you specifically mentioned by I do grow lots of fruit. Blueberry, strawberry, several kinds of raspberry and blackberry, boysenberry, marionberry, loganberry, tayberry, chokeberry, peaches, cherries..... All of them grow very well here in NJ. Sugar content in berries tends to be lower than many other fruits. They also have many other things in them that are very healthy for you.
  9. What ever happened with that monstrosity? Last I heard many of the shops that were going to be there backed out when the report came out that the land is terribly contaminated.
  10. Seems your gun doesn't like that ammo. I was reading many old threads on steel cased ammo last night and opinions seem to be split. I have run several different kinds of steel cased through my AR (Spikes lower, BCM upper) and have not had a single issue. I have tried many different kinds of ammo through it because I want to know what it can or can't cycle. You never know what sort of ammo situations may develop and what you can get may only be surplus steel. I would want to know before a situiation like that came up. Personally If I had a gun that was very picky with ammo I wouldn't be looking to replace the ammo I would be thinking about replacing the gun itself.
  11. I saw PMC and Remington 223, CCI 22lr and bulk packs of Remington 45ACP. Not sure of prices but it's there.
  12. Valentine all the way. But you have to pay ATTENTION. Always look around at what is going on in front of you and don't ignore your mirrors. Sharks are out there, especially on the NJTPK. (Sharks- officers who drive well over 90mph with no lights on looking for someone ahead of them speeding.)
  13. No limit either. All 11 boxes shipped to my door is only going to be $2,833.
  14. So he ended up getting disorderly conduct, $250 fine and 50 hrs community service. Maybe the judge felt sorry for him after the ass-whooping Mayweather gave him on the 4th.
  15. http://news.yahoo.com/2-bodies-found-nj-standoff-suspect-killed-142325525.html "Murphy had a long criminal history including convictions for aggravated assault and criminal conspiracy, Bocchini said. He had previously been arrested for robbery and weapons offenses and child endangerment. He also had an arrest warrant in Pennsylvania for failing to register as a sex offender." Guy should have been in jail with that type of history. They should focus on enforcing existing laws and proper punishment before they go after law abiding citizens with "feel good" legislation.
  16. Keep an eye on Aimsurplus. They put up Wolf or Silver Bear sometimes for less than $12/box of 50.
  17. Made a deal with Zach this morning. Smooth transaction and a very nice guy.
  18. You may want to mention this quote from Dalai Lama to her "If someone has a gun and is trying to kill you, it is reasonable to shoot back with your own gun. Not at the head, where a fatal wound might result. But at some other body part, such as a leg." The bolded part is often left out but it does not need to be. He clearly feels that it is ok for someone to own a gun. Although his ideas of how to use it may not be agreed with, he says "your own gun".
  19. THIS! I remember when the Hot Deals page was for "Hot Desls" not "In-Stock Over-Priced Ammo Deals".
  20. Don't know about the brand but i am sure somebody here needs one. http://www.aimsurplus.com/product.aspx?item=XDADBCG20016&name=AR15/M16%20.223/5.56%20Bolt%20Carrier%20Group&groupid=6
  21. I grow alot of food. Lots of different herbs, tomatoes, cucumber, pickles, peppers, eggplant, lettuce, asparagus, cantaloupe, cherries, peaches, blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, boysenberries, loganberries, tayberries, marionberries (not to be confused with the crack smoking former mayor of DC). Yeah, I like berries. Just about time to start planting the vegetables. I compost like a bastard and my plants grow like crazy.
  22. I have been wondering the same thing. How many more checks above average are being done each month since Sandy/Election/Newtown?
  23. Not a question but it may be worth bringing up the NJ.com poll on mag limits. http://www.nj.com/hudson/voices/index.ssf/2013/04/poll_should_new_gun_legislatio.html Should new gun legislation include ban on high-capacity magazines? Yes 73 (6.8%) No 989 (93.13%) Those are pretty overwhelming results and are the exact opposite of what some politicians have claimed recently.
  24. I think I found the one you were looking at. Good price but I have a feeling with a week to go it will get up over $550 + the $30 shipping. This thread makes me want to get some permits and pick up an INOX.
  25. http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=338957184 $575 + $20 shipping. I bought a PX4 Storm from Tanners. They are great. I wouldn't hesitate to do business with them again.
