  1. And now everyone on the left and almost everyone on the right are blaming the event organizers.
  2. Good for yahoo news, we need more reports like this.
  3. NRA's "America's 1st Freedom", May 2015, page 56: "In the past few years, New Jersey's Draconian gun laws have led to a number of outrageous legal abuses... ... Garden State gun owners deserve a wholesale change of the state's onerous gun control regime." Any help please, NRA-ILA???
  4. Yes, it is a revolver. Read here: http://www.fool.com/investing/general/2015/04/25/youll-never-guess-the-nras-surprising-handgun-of-t.aspx
  5. From my experience, shooting Tavor is fun. The major drawback is price. That is, if you have a good deal - jump on it
  6. Yeah, I thought that too. What does make sense, I think, is to make public the overall number of CCW in NJ, grouped by - Current government employees - Retired government employees - All others No names, no addresses. Would be also interesting to compare with America.
  7. My 2 cents: First, if you are getting two, consider one to be a revolver. Simple, reliable, accurate (for me at least). If you do, I highly recommend SW 686 or Ruger GP100. Second, I tried Berettas M9 and 92fs. They are supposedly pretty much the same, but for me 92 was much more comfortable and accurate. It could be different for you of course, I just recommend to try.
  8. I'm on Sprint, two "dumb" phones but the plan has 1GB data. Looks like I can switch to smart phones keeping the same plan. Messaging and roaming are free unlimited. Cost - $70 plus taxes et al. My phone is ten years old Sanyo SCP-7050, rugged, reliable. It was time the battery didn't hold well, I had to charge every day. I think because of hot and humid weather. I removed the battery, cleaned with alcohol, let it dry - and it's alive and well again. I have to charge it less often than once a week. Have to add, I'm not on the phone 24/7
  9. In fact, this is exactly what I've heard from my instructor.
  10. Trying new things, rented Ruger Mark III last week. And after that, had some real fun with my GP100.
  11. I'm lucky to have GFH in less than 10 miles from home. Go there as often as I can afford, with my wife or with my son. Wife is currently too busy and son is far away in USAF, so now I'm mostly alone. Renting often, trying different handguns. Typically to confirm again and again that my own guns are the best, at least for me. Well, I didn't rent them all yet... The only problem is parking. Well, looks like it will be resolved very soon - the range is closed for a few days starting Monday, April 20, and one of the reasons, as email says, parking expansion. There will be something else, looking forward to checking out soon.
  12. Hmm... My co-worker from NYC applied for their versions of FID and P2P this year, and got his handgun in about a month. Two references, as far as I know, and both (including myself of course) live in NJ. But references have to know your for at least four years. And, he had to go to the police to register what he bought. Looks like different laws in each county (?)
