  1. I,ve been trying to get 2500 for each but I shoot a lot of one and find a deal on one of the others. So I just stopped keeping track and try to just keep one shelf of each.
  2. I spent half the day at that terrible range today. Got there around 900 only one other guy at the rifle range so it was kind of cramped. Stayed till around 1. During the time I was there only nice people showed up and one range R.O. and he wasn't one of the bad ones! Must have been an off day
  3. Good to know! I would like to have a spare just incase I lose the one I carry.
  4. I had to replace one in the beginning of the year. Required filling out a police report so it seemed like a normal formality. Had the replacement card and 2 p2p's in less then 2 months. The card now is marked duplicate so I'm not sure if they have a way to cancel the original. Didn't have to jump thru any hoops, no fingerprints just the same forms as the p2p with one extra box checked. Pretty simple process woodbridge township is easy to deal with hope your town's just as simple. John
  5. Dhaval, It was good sort of meeting you. You let my buddy shoot your tavor he talked about it most of the way home. When he told me who you bought it from I was sure you were part of this site. He's been texting me since trying to find a deal on one. Maybe run in to you up there again. John
  6. I've been going almost every weekend since joining about 9 months ago and never waited for a spot. I must be lucky because every R.O. I've encountered has been good. There's a couple that are extremely good in helping me learn how to zero my AR and improve my handgun handling. Quite a few times I've watched the same ones helping other shooters with similar issues. I felt after the first day that the range paid for itself. I'll be there again tomorrow to help with the work party then trying out my new spotting scope at the rifle range. John
  7. Now that you mentioned that. I think as I was pulling out of the spot to go down to the pistol range you were pulling in. Me and my nephew were both driving small black cars. There was a guy still up there shooting a vector(?) or some kind of bullpup when we were leaving. The range was really empty for most of the day. That's a good part of why I don't mind driving slightly over an hour to go there.
  8. Got to the rifle range just after 9. Stayed up there till around 1 then went down to the pistol range till maybe 2-230. I was the only old guy with a pony tail. Come to think of it I usually am! I have to talk to my stylist about that.
  9. Spent most of the day at the rifle range. My brother and his son got to shoot a ton I spent most of the time loading mags for them.Great day! Finished with the AR then went down the hill a spent some more time watching them shoot the handguns. Couldn't have asked for a better day...Well it could've been warmer! John
  10. Got mine with the club card. $5. Shipping and I think I get 25. More off because it was my first time using the card. Either way its a good deal! Thanks
  11. I bought one during the last sale. Couldn't be happier and had it delivered in record time! 2 days or less
  12. Thanks for the reply and report. I go up to EFGA almost every weekend I have to start asking to look down range thru a few of the scopes that people have set up. I Think about it most times but don't want to have anyone feel like I'm a stalker or a creep. Thanks, John
  13. I would have continued the class leaving it at agreeing to disagree. Then if it was worth joining i would've joined. Then made sure that when in conversation with other members just state what you know as law. I've found a lot of people have the wrong information and don't bother to look into it unless questioned then others with the same wrong info. Go on talking like its fact. We've all met "the Know it all's"
  14. Frankv64, You should be right on mark. Woodbridge is great with their process. I put in for three P2P's on 7/24 and received the call on 8/28. The woman at the desk I think her name is Connie? Is very good! I got there a few minutes late and the shade was closed, knowing I wouldn't be able to make it back any time soon I rang the bell thinking no one would open the window. She popped it open took care of my paperwork and never even mentioned my timing.
  15. I got one and after thinking about it I paid the 85. I would have to take at least a half-day from work and would have lost money. Then with the chance of losing I just went with the easy way. Which I believe is what they count on most people doing because the threat of points and loss of work. So they won that one and yes I felt violated
  16. Did you have a chance to use it at the range. I was interested in the same scope since your other thread and thought you would have a range report up by now. really curious how its working for you. John
  17. Didn't want to start a new thread so I'll just ask on this one. How crowded is the outdoor range during the weekend? The new member meeting is tomorrow and before I take the plunge without asking. I now go up to EFGA and wouldn't mind a closer range when short on time.
  18. I've been there more then a handful of times now and after meeting quite a few range officers my opinion is leaning more towards very good. Just this past Saturday while I was there 3 guys at the rifle range were all R.O.'s. Only one took charge, he earned my respect. He kept everyone safe called for cease fires when needed and actually checked that everyone had there guns cleared and were following proper procedure. Several other R.Os ive met in the past there have been helpful. My first trip there i met two guys one was a officer and the other I'm not sure but they spent a long time helping me with tips and tricks to improve my handgun shooting. The pistol range has the target wires shot down some time but if you get a few tools while the range is empty it's an easy fix. I still carry a few cardboard backers in my car and a few coat hangers just in case.
  19. Pavers work well. You should dig out about 6/7 inches put a layer of 3/4 gravel about 4 inches thick pack it down with a tamper. Ten a layer of sand about 1" don't pack it. Then the pavers . The gravel will help drainage, sand helps the pavers level and then it will last and you can store anything you want in it
  20. Its hit or miss on the weekends. But I've never waited for a spot. Normally there's a couple people I usually set up on one spot and put some of my gear on the next spot paying attention to whats going on around me in case someone needs it then I just move it when there's less then three open spots so people coming in have a choice.
  21. I'm a new member. I like it I live close so I can be there in 15 mins. John Fox is top notch I spoke to John about the club he invited me out. Same offer, his gun his ammo and all I had to do was show up the offer stood until I was a member and took delivery of my own handgun. Doesn't hurt to check the place out it isn't a new fancy range, the price reflects that and it is 25 yds. but for alot of people including myself thats good. I looked at a few ranges so for me 830 to 930 pm seemed normal. OB is a nice range but with work schedule finding the time to compete in the 5 required meets seemed difficult. Lake Island has a lot of good people with a wealth of helpful information for a new shooter such as myself. In the end if I only went once and stayed more then two hours I would have saved money compared to some of the other ranges for a two hour session. I also joined EFGA in PA. for outdoor and longer ranges.
  22. Thanks for the tip! Just finished ordering mine, sale was over on the 4th but it went through. I've been trying to find a smaller safe for a few weeks but considering the price I couldn't pass it up. I'm just going to have to try and fill it. I ordered 8/6 10:30 pm they called 8:30 am on 7th delivered today 8/8 at 11 am. My head is spinning! I was happy just to get the sale price after the 4th
  23. I tried in woodbridge 2 weeks ago and as nice as the woman there is. No was the answer she gave my wife and everyone else is right you personally have to sign a form or two. I think one of them might have been mental health but I really didn't pay attention.
  24. Ordered 3 and can't get past the shipping page.
  25. I'll be there early Saturday trying to figure out the break in process and zeroing in a new sw m&p 15. So if you see a confused fumbling guy that would be me. If your there watching remember every one was new at one time. Worst case I will wind up in the pistol range with the ar back in the trunk! I have a guest pass if anyone is looking to check the place out John
