  1. I see what you did there Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  2. I have a friend from England coming over. He was the guy who first put a pistol in my hand and I owe him a good time shooting.
  3. I just picked up my permits. It's true. Permits are good until 8/15. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  4. I'm running my intro to IDPA class again this summer. It will be at EFGA as usual, starting at 1pm on Sunday June 10. If you're interested please take a look at https://idpa-intro.eventbrite.com Cheers, Stu. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  5. I have had nothing but good experiences with Dawson Precision. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  6. This is good news. I'm expecting permits in the next couple of weeks. I hope mine have the extension on them already too. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  7. The standard mag for a G43 is 6 rounds. A +3 extension is not going to make it illegal in NJ because 9 is less than 15. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  8. I wasn't replying to you in particular. I don't see any reason why unless you get an unmodified one for cheap. I was just letting everybody know my experience. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  9. There are pretty quick once they ask you to send it in. I handed mine to FedEx on December 15. Sig received it on December 18. They gave it back to FedEx on December 22 and FedEx tried to deliver it to me on December 23. I was not at home and a signature was required so I finally got it back on December 26. Color me impressed. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  10. I think mine is prettier. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  11. Where are you based? I would be happy to knock it out for you. I did Nick's a while ago. It's the first thing I did to mine, too. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  12. Send it to Cylinder and Slide. They did an awesome job on mine and it was worth the wait. If you can live with just the cuts for the sights you can send just the slide and they'll turn it around quicker and you'll save on shipping. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  13. My best exchange went like this: Me: Good morning officer. Cop: Do you know why I pulled you over? Me: I have a suspicion, but I'd rather not incriminate myself. Cop: Chuckle He then did a walk around and gave me a ticket for an obstructed license plate. (No points) Me: Sorry, I'll get that fixed Cop: Don't do that. What would I give you a ticket for next time? Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  14. I bought a dozen last year and they are fine. I just ordered another dozen. Thanks for the heads up. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  15. I'll counter this with the fact that if you do vote you have legitimised the whole corrupt enterprise. With one exception I have never come across a single candidate that I could actually support and he wasn't running in my constituency. If you vote for one bad candidate to stop a worse candidate getting the job, you have just endorsed a bad candidate. Who is more responsible for the bad candidate getting in, you or me? 16. Well blow me down. I reckon I was confusing it with the NJNICS. I stand corrected. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  17. I couldn't get to the end of it but I saw no mention of the fact that the 4473 doesn't have any details of the gun recorded at all. It's all in the FFL bound book. The existence of the 4473 is irrelevant. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  18. No. For repairs you are allowed to send the gun directly to the manufacturer and receive it back directly too. You just can't use USPS as that is only allowed for FFLs. UPS and FedEx are ok. Sig day that they are paying for the shipping both ways so it will be whoever they choose. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  19. Also, as much as the likes of Loretta whined and bitched about it, the change to justifiable need stands. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  20. The 17M is nice. Hopefully Glock will let the civilian market have them. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  21. I had an email exchange with Hornady a couple of months ago. I persisted and they finally admitted that shipping the ammo to NJ is legal if you give them a copy of your FPID. They said they would update the instructions, but I guess they didn't do that. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  22. It can be covered. I also sometimes run a Safariland ALS. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  23. What he said. I run the GLS holsters too. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  24. So replace shooting someone with being caught in possession of a firearm. You are missing the fact that NJ gun laws work in reverse of almost every other law. Most laws tell you what you can't do. For guns that is to possess one without a permit. You just can't. This is what you get charged with. There are then exemptions which tell you what you can do which you can assert as an affirmative defense. I don't think you are understanding the difference between something that is not prohibited at all vs. something that is prohibited but can be excused under specific circumstances. In this case being in your home. There has to be a finding of fact that the affirmative defense applies in your case. E.g. that it is in fact your home, not your Dad's home, or your friend's home, etc. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
