  1. I'm hoping that eventually, they'll move the entire plant out of Maryland. They probably need to be near Washington,D.C. for those contracts though. r
  2. Moving this summer from NJ to the Texas Hill Country. This is south of Austin, Texas. I've lived here all my life and we hate this state with a passion. High Taxes, Corruption at every level of Gov't, from the clerks to the Governor, to the White House. Corrupt.
  3. If you look at the show from the first episode,,,,,,in the first 10 minutes, Walter collapses in the car wash. I think the rest of it is a comatose dream. I think tonight, after everyone is killed,,,,I think Walter is killed also (in the dream),,,but wakes up in a hospital, probably with pneumonia. I think everyone in this dream is a real person, part of Walter's dream world. I could be DEAD WRONG. And probably am.

    NRA

I belong to the NRA and to NJ2AS, and my Pistol Club --- So, I'm not knocking them. But wondering,,what has the NRA been doing for this state other than giving expensive courses?????
  5. That is a Ruger Standard - it's not a MKI,II or III.
  6. It sends a chilly wave of shock up my spine to this day. Those filthy scumbags. r
  7. The news will not report it. Guaranteed.
  8. I keep it in my checkbook where it fits. Mine is laminated also. I think it's huge because they want you to loose it.
  9. It's like convincing a Catholic to become a Protestant. Or Vs.Vs. It doesn't work. The best thing to do is educate your kids as to what the Bill of Rights are. I'm not sure that will work anymore, since they don't teach the Constitution in school. I give up.
  10. He's a Hero and a Patriot. I keep thinking of what a scumhole Washington,DC is. Filled with vipers and filth, the lot of them. r
  11. Blacksmythe - So do I. In 1949 'dollars' -- which were basically silver then - a solid dollar - here are the prices - How Much things cost in 1949 Average Cost of new house $7,450.00. Average wages per year $2,950.00. Cost of a gallon of Gas 17 cents. Average Cost of a new car $1,420.00. Minimum Hourly Wage Rate 70 cents per hour. Bacon per pound 50 cents. Dobbs Hat $8.50. Kitchen Table and Chairs $100.00 ... The average wages in those days were $49.16 per week. Compare the modern average wage to that Colt - back to 1949! Not much difference.

  15. Just turn off the Electricity. It will end everything. Banks will be frozen, wells will go off, gas stations will be gone. Those with generators will last about a week. Food will stop being delivered. My mother was in Germany during WW2. They could run heat during the winter with coal or wood if it could be found. Finding unpolluted water was one of the great problems especially in the cities. Finding soap, the rarest commodity, could be traded for 3 gold watches that worked. Finding a piece of bread without mold, was unheard of. Finding an egg or an orange was impossible. They starved for two years. Where were the guns??? They were piled up everywhere along with ammunition in every city and hamlet, there was no need for them anymore. My father was a GI - they brought them food & water & soap. The communists from Russia just shot them, women and children in piles as in the concentration camps, the men were all dead except for the old. The infants everywhere just died.
  16. Very sad. I've lost many dogs in my life. It's like loosing a child,,but with a dog, the best thing you can do is go get another one - immediately. They all share the same soul.
  17. We've lived in this township for 30 years, raised a family, paid the mortgage off, I pay my taxes regularly to the township. Should I put down the tax collector as a reference? The question about referrals seems ridiculous since most everyone in NJ is anti-gun. I go to very old friends whom I've known for years,,one is anti-gun, the other is pro-gun, but I get my 'Good' referrals from both of them. What happens if they die? Who will vouch for me??? I don't go to church, temple, or hang-out in bars, and I quit the Masons many years ago. If you don't commit crimes, if you pay your taxes, if you pass all the gun required 'tests' --- why do you need a referral? Ridiculous beyond belief.
  18. If I buy a 2nd handgun online and out-of-state (2 pistol permits) , and it's shipped to an FFL, even though my 30 day wait period has not expired yet,,,,can I pick up the gun after 32 days from the FFL??? Thanks!
  19. They do seem to stock the Federal Target Grade Ammo - plenty of it. I was there last week and picked up two 325 round boxes for $17 per box. One box per person, but my wife was with me. They had a big shelf and it looked to be stocked all the time. I think you have to drive there to get it - I don't think it's advertised.
  20. Rutt's Hutt???? Man,,,my father brought me there when I was 2 years old - 1950. Amazing.....
  21. Went there on August 15th. They had pretty much everything including .22's - but only one box of ammo (22's - 350 per box - Federal Target) per person, so my wife and I bought two boxes. Lots of 9mm and shotgun loads. Go on a weekday.
  22. I received my 2 permits today - Did you guys have anything to do with this????????? I'm sure you did. Went to my FFL and picked up my Ruger Hunter in Stainless. What a beautiful gun!!!
