  1. I don't think you would've had much fun with your HD shotgun. However, I don't agree with the rule about not letting you blow your money lol. i used to go to this private driving range back in high school because I could take my shirt off in the NC summer. I never tried to do it at an actual golf course because it wouldn't have been allowed. I'm guessing the HD shotgun rule is probable similar to the shirt on the driving range rule lol.
  2. I have a buddy who shoots the 6.5 CM version 1000 yards. And it was under $1000.
  3. I forget who/what similar topic on this forum, but someone already detailed why the NRA won't and hasn't already began to do it. These channels are going to pornhub because there is literally no where else to go.
  4. Your case specific reasons are your choice. I think the focus of the debate needs to be the larger population as whole. The talk was about trying to create a place where these kids could go. With many popular gun channels moving to pornhub, Reddit moving to voat, and other firearms bloggers being forced "underground," where can teens go for firearms info? Obviously pornhub and voat are out as reasonable sources because they aren't remotely pg13. Its slim pickings. Moderated sites like YouTube and Reddit are gone. It's places just like this forum or pornhub. Or nothing if both are blocked.
  5. It is 100% your choice to block the IP for your kids. That doesn't mean every parent has to block their kid from a pg13 atmosphere.
  6. I think a young teen can be on these forums fairly safely. It is largely pg13. No place will be 100% parent approved. It would naive to think young teens aren't on voat. Not to imagine the exposure from Instagram, Twitter, etc.
  7. I never heard of voat until today. Definitely not a place for kids. Overall a pure cesspool. I'm hoping the gun deals portion becomes as good as it was on Reddit.
  8. Have to update now that reddit has started censoring. Lot of redditors moving to www.voat.co/v/gundeals for now.
  9. Seems a lot of 2a supporting redditors will be moving to www.voat.co/v/gundeals From what little I know about voat, it is reddit without any rules so it has been a hotbed for racism, sexism, etc. What pisses me off about reddit is that r/gundeals (legal 3rd parties making legal sales that you have to pick up at legally regulated FFLs) is prohibited, but r/opiates, r/stims, and even r/weeddeals is up and running without threat of being shut down. Shows where the left's priorities are. The website owners have every right to pick and choose but gd seriously drug sales are ok?
  10. Must have just occurred since I was on there around lunch today. Bummer was a great spot to find deals.
  11. Springfield factor mags are great.
  12. I used United for both of my long moves. Costs a little more but reputable company and no problems.
  13. Sucks. I mostly use YouTube for learning how to clean new guns or how to do upgrades. Luckily we can still search for videos or instructions on regular Google. Right? Maybe not considering Google earns YouTube. I've switched go duck duck go awhile back.
  14. The tacticool possibilities for the 10/22 are limitless.
  15. Bud's tends to have a good list of all the manufacturer rebates: https://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/rebates.php
  16. Thought those of you in PRNJ might want to take a look at these https://www.midwayusa.com/product/1001553964/federal-premium-guard-dog-home-defense-ammunition-9mm-luger-105-grain-expanding-full-metal-jacket
  17. This is a barely a story and zero surprise. We have all this same stuff and also stuff we aren't telling anybody about. If you have to advertise your toughness then you aren't. Russia wants to destabilize the world order since that is the only way to knock us off the top. That is what we have to worry about. Ukraine is just the beginning of Putin's line pushing. He knows he can keep pushing because Western Europe is desperate to avoid war.
  18. I carry the PC shield. Fantastic gun. However, I've lost a lot of weight since I first moved to NJ and I'm no longer able to conceal it under just a t shirt. i need an even smaller gun I can conceal in the NC summers. I've been looking at the RM380. Those brave enough to buy one all seem to like them. It's the same silly pin release as the Rohrbauer or whatever it was called (too expensive so I never looked into them). Anyone here have any experience with this new Remington mouse gun? ive also been checking out the NAA in 22. They make a slightly larger barrel version as well. It's rim fire, but a revolver somewhat decreases the unreliability factor since the cylinder spins to the next round if it doesn't fire. Do you guys just put this in a pocket holster? I've already got a phone and keys in my 2 front pockets so I think I'd rather put it IWB. What do you guys do? Lastly, duck duck go searches (I no longer use google) brought up the double tap. It is a very cool derringer like gun in 9mm. Anyone seen one of these? Only 2 rounds, but at the very least it checks rule #1 of an unexpected gunfight. i prefer to buy American so that limits me quite a bit. Figure worst case I can get an LCP380. Sigs look fantastic but I have issue spending that much for such a tiny gun that won't see much range time.
  19. She probably gave up on this oft derailed thread, especially with the pointless bickering sprinkled in. For someone working on a specific work project with a time component, I doubt there's even 1 pages worth out of the 6 that didn't waste the project's time. I would've sought info elsewhere. gg
  20. Definitely contact ANJRPC. What makes this so odd to me is the FID took 4 months (5 months when I applied) and the reason I was given for these long wait times is that PDs are understaffed to handle the applications. The 2 times I called with questions I was never called back. Understaffed for apps but plenty of time to call and ask what you bought?
  21. I've used them in a shockwave. Definitely makes it more comfortable to shoot.
  22. I wasn't trying to buy a MSR immediately before or after the Florida incident. these tragedies generally cause a lot of panic buying. The increased demand causes prices to skyrocket. So unless you were already planning on buying prior, right now is the worst time to buy. I'm interested in a MSR pistol as a brush gun since some of the places I hunt are densely wooded. I think it'll be awhile before I buy it.
  23. http://aliengearholsters.com/blog/should-teachers-carry-guns/ good article on it.
