  1. You don't buy stock to short, you sell it without owning it. You would need to open an account with a brokerage firm, sign a bunch of documents and keep other assets (usually other very safe stocks) as collateral.
  2. Unlawful Possession of an Assault Rifle. Although that can be seen as either he was in possession of a non-compliant rifle or he was in possession without an FPID. One is a 3rd degree offense and the other is 4th. Both are under 2C:39-5 Either way he didn't lawfully own the rifle (either the rifle was illegal or he didn't have an ID). https://www.njleg.state.nj.us/2018/Bills/AL18/39_.PDF Additional note, "Assault Rifle" is not a defined legal term in the law. So the charge isn't technically correct which makes the story even worse. It's just making phrases to sound nice.
  3. Love ya Griz, but it's the 19th (Women's Sufferage) AMENDMENT XIX The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of sex. Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation.
  4. At 200k plus, conventional wisdom goes out the window. At that point most of the mechanical issues have already shaken out. All of those items that need to be replaced at some point in the life of the car have been replaced. If the body (both panels and structural components) are good, I'd say you can get 6,500 - 9,000 depending on condition and any additional features (tires, rims etc). With the new line coming out the JK is going to reduce in value, but they will still retain quite a bit of it. TJ's are still quite valuable and they have been out of production since the mid 00's.
  5. Unless you are a politician or a judge it’s not happening. The statements were made how many months ago? The state of NJ does not care about your life. Unless they actually hired someone and they already tried to kill you, you chance of getting a CCW is basically nothing. Give it a shot though.
  6. That's a really good question. There are laws about abandoned property. I wonder if you turned it in, tried to contact the previous renters if you could ever keep the firearm. If we can legally own it, nobody claims it, and it was not used in a crime, why not?
  7. I have a Milwaukee M12 hoodie and 4 batteries (from other tools as well). They charge faster than they deplete. They are nice and warm especially if you have another layer to break the wind. They last for a few hours on high. There are 3 settings high, medium and low. Obviously they last longer on the lower settings. Plus the button that controls the setting is color coded red white and blue for each level. It’s great
  8. I ride a ‘00 883. It has a spedo and tach and that’s all of its features. And it is carbourated. Not much to go wrong and I’m happier for it. I can fix almost anything that would go wrong on the side of the road.
  9. The ones I buy from Home Depot are great, you just need to buy a kit they sell to replace those crappy spouts they come with.
  10. Where in NJ? I would recommend as others have and stay in PA and commute in.
  11. Believe me, old bad gas smells like turpentine. It's happened a few times where there was a gas can about 1/4 full that sat in the back of my garage for a few years. The smell changes a lot if it's bad.
  12. Good choice with the G-Shock. I have two Citizens (one an Eco and one old one my dad gave me back in high school), a Girard Perregaux that was my grandfathers (that I am afraid to wear) and a few others that I can't remember the manufacturer. I will wear the Citizen EcoDrive when I need to wear something fancy, but 360+ days a year I have the Casio on. I don't worry about gunpowder, dirt, grime, fish guts or anything else on it. It's not crazy expensive but the thing is a tank.
  13. A friend will help you move, a brother will help you move a body
  14. If you're concerned about that, throw some octane boost in it. If you have a large tank (16+ gallons) you can dump half of the gas in one time and then half the next. I've never had issues but if you really want to get rid of it I would call your local/town "recycling center." The only thing I would add is to smell it. If it smells like turpentine I would dump it. If it smells like gas, burn it.
  15. 5 gallons almost a year old? Put it in your car. A year old really isn't that bad.
  16. Casio G-Shock Rangeman. I’ve never had issues, keeps time from Ft Collins, is solar charged and has a compass, barometer and altimeter. It also has a thermometer, but any watch with a thermometer is suspect since it’s strapped to a 98 deg mammal. Best watch I’ve ever had and I’ve had some expensive watches.
  17. I have a few Canadian friends and according to them it really depends on where you are going through. If you are going through the Vancouver BC area you’ll get jammed up. Believe it or not Canada is very similar to the US in that city people hate firearms and country people have a better more tool like view of them. The big difference is that there is no 2a there so the pols can jam you up with more inpugnity. In the Canadian woods a lot of people carry to protect themselves from bear and moose.
  18. AFAIK there arent a lot of guns with a fixed magazine of 15 rds that cannot be modified. If there are, i certainly dont own one. And any 15 rounders i used to have i lost in a boating accident.
  19. I agree with this. He was not confined (kept there against his volition) nor was he committed. He went voluntarily and left voluntarily. For 26, was he diagnosed for clinical depression or did he just feel bad? Technically it should be a mental or psychiatric condition. He needs to talk to a lawyer.
  20. Welcome to the forums! If you're in SO, you should call it Taylor Ham - everyone will look at you weird if you don't. We always need more brothers (and sisters) in arms behind enemy lines.
  21. Also they added breaks and comps to the bill. As it stands now, the law is only for a suppressor. So unless your AR had a non-threaded barrel, you'll likely be in EXTRA contravention of the law. They are definitely trying to full out ban the AR platform. Or of course by a thread cap. I don't know anyone that has an AR that doesn't have a comp or break.
  22. In my experience the prices are great but if you factor in shipping (and have Amazon Prime) you can get it cheaper from Amazon. Unless TR now has free shipping.
