Chad 3 Posted June 20, 2009 So, at 2AM unable to sleep, I'm watching Lethal Weapon 4 for the 10,000th time. This time, I saw something interesting. Right after Riggs and Mertaugh (sp) get their captain badges they walk out of the office and stand against a glass wall. Posted on the glass wall is a poster (pic below). The camera moves away for a moment, Riggs walks away, meraugh stays in the same spot and Chris Rock walks into the scene standing in the same spot Riggs was standing when suddenly there is a different poster of the same statement (can't see the whole poster). Seems like this was crowbarred into the movie, trying to make a point? Or am I looking into it too much? Were they just trying to make it look like a police department? I've been in many police department detective bureaus and I've never seen anything like this. Maybe its different in LA?
tbtrout 141 Posted June 20, 2009 Yes, there were quite a few negative references to the NRA in the movie.
UHF 0 Posted June 20, 2009 Looking at the two images I would say that the director or producers were definitely trying to get their point across. Man, I hate California. The only good thing to come from there was Right on Red.
Chad 3 Posted June 20, 2009 I agree, but why make a movie filled with guns if you are anti-gun? ? ? ? Should have called it "Anti-Lethal Weapon"

SpecialK 193 Posted June 20, 2009 the movie was showing how violent and evil guns are, so it was ok for them to profit off of it
Sigman 41 Posted June 20, 2009 Hollywood is filled with liberals who are anti-gun and believe in the socialist views that the current administration is pushing on us. They were put in there for a reason.
Ray Ray 3,566 Posted June 21, 2009 Danny Glover is a real left wing nut so I bet he had something to do with it. All the Leathal Weapon movies were anti-gun.
