Questions - Fort Dix Range14 - want to go on June 21

Hi, I am from Woodbridge, NJ, and would like to check out the range and become a member.

 

I would like to visit the range on June 21 (tomorrow) and am wondering if I will get to use the range facilities the same day.

Do I need another member to bring me in, or can I join on my own?

 

Of course, I have NJ FID, and would like to use the indoor and outdoor range.

 

Is there a phone # I can call to get answers?

btw, yes, there is no indoor range. there was a seperate pistol range on the side, however that is being redone, er, the tower, so all on the 200 yard outdoor rifle range.

Do they not have a 50 yd or 100 yd area?

they usually do, but under reconstruction.... so you can shoot it all on the rifle range.

You can set up your targets at whatever distance you want. The rifle range is a maximum of 200YDS, but you can place your targets at 50YDS and 100YDS if you wish. You dont have to shoot at 200 yards. Anywhere between 5 ( I think thats the minimum) yards to 200 yards is okay.

I think it is 15 yds for pistol and 25 yds for rifle minimum distance on the rifle side.
