New Jersey Senate to Vote on One-Gun-A-Month Tomorrow

Recommended Posts

Nice! Although (and I mean this in the least nitpicky way possible) there are a couple of grammatical errors and typos (I do proofreading as part of my job)

"New Jersey Gun Forums is an online community by NJ firearms owners, for NJ firearms owners. Even though the New Jersey has some of the most..." -- Extra "the"

"Did you know that by Jan 1, 2010 you may be a criminal, if you purchase more than 1 handgun" -- unnecessary comma

"no matter if you are looking at your first firearm, or your 10th" -- unnecessary comma

With the hassle of the permit process when ready to buy a gun I usually put in for more than one permit.Wonder how that will work now if applying for multiple permits(if still allowed),will each permit be they dated months in advance?

Another well thought plan by New Jersey lawmakers to punish law abiding citizens.

Well....we are ALL HUGELY dissapointed with this. Even non-gun owners should be.

This 'paves the way' for rationing on ANYTHING that the 'State' sees as a potential hazzard. Whether it be paint thinner, plastic bags, lawnmowers, cars, carbs, fat, etc, etc....

Well, I think we/someone/NRA/Joe Schmoe, should file suit against NJ in light of Heller vs. DC, in the SCOTUS against this gun rationing scheme dreampt up by Korzine. Who, BOUGHT his way into office knowing that he can successfully run as a hardline Old European-style Socialist and WIN in NJ. Wall Street 'Genius' at work indeed.

Remember, this gov. does NOT even obey his own seatbelt laws and right after his lil 90+ MPH hwy shenanigans (in which he could have died), he had the BALLS to set up roadside "checkpoints" for SEATBELT violations (LIKE WE ARE DUMMIES TOO OR SOMETHING). I remember, because I was ALL over Jersey at that time for a transport co. I see alot more than most, I'm like a satellite.

We are breeding future welfare, charity care, unemployment basket cases with our NJ politics. Sad to say....But we are beyond help. That's when we need to sue.

Not that I buy more than 1 HG a month, this is yet another infringement of our rights. Really tired of these corrupt political tactics in NJ, high taxes, and high cost of living.

I have a job interview in PA soon - Im out ASAP.

12k a year property taxes for a townhouse, 1800sf, next development over in an average mercer county town.

I was just looking over the handguns I owned...

I bought the first two in the same month.

then bought 1 the following,

and then two more the same day as part of a package deal.

with these laws, I would only have one.

Ken,

read the text, I attached a link a page ago.

The amended version exempts Dealers, Law Enforcement Agencies, and C&R holders.

Where is the exemption? All I see is "transfers of handguns between licensed retail dealers".

Dealers are only exempt from purchasing from other dealers, NOT from non-licensees, C&R holders, pawn shops or manufacturers.

IMHO, I foresee the PD issuing only one permit every 30 days. That will be the limit for everyone. C&R or not. That is the only way to 'police' the purchases.

ETA: POLICE = to regulate, control, or keep in order by or as if by means of police.

New Jersey Sucks!!!!!!!

I'm so upset, I am not allowing myself to type anything about this for another few days, or maybe weeks, depends.......

I have looked at Real Estate in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia today.

My wife and I have had enough !!!!!

+1

I am vacationing in sc next week and I am looking. Anyone want real estate brochures. ?

Plus my taxes just went up another 1600 in Vernon this year. I am topping out near ten g's. THAT is also insane.

I would really appreciate it if you could pick up anything on real-estate in SC. Maybe even a paper for teaching jobs.

My wife and I have had it. Our taxes have went up 36.2% in 4 years.

She is from Colorado so her father gave her a lady's special .38 by S&W when she left for Rutgers.

Last night, we were followed by some punk kids in the parking deck outside Menlo Park Mall after we had gone out for dinner.

She firmly believes that if I hadn't run into a cop I knew by chance and started BS'ing, those punk kids would have started trouble thinking we were helpless - NEVER ASSUME ANYTHING is all I will say. Those kids sure did the right thing by walking away.

None the less.....Please pick up a few Homes for Sale fliers if you get a chance.

Thanks.

I can't take this state anymore. This state is doomed. I see no hope for it. It will only get worse. It's really a shame because NJ is such a great state: close to beaches, mountains, NYC, Phily, etc.

But, I'm leaving for Texas or Florida after my kids get done with high school.

I give up. They win.
