Great deal but it has a 30 round mag that PA could refuse to ship to the PRNJ and the rifle has an A2 birdcage that the FFL doing the transfer would have to replace, so your FFL would need to have a gunsmith. Between the transfer fee and compliance work this may not be so worth doing in the end.

I could buy the stripped Anderson lower for about $60 from my LGS with no $70 transfer fee. Then order a lower parts kit, muzzle brake, stock and complete upper for about $400. I can do my own compliance work and have a crappy but custom AR15 for less than $500. I would rather buy once and cry once and have a quality rifle that I can trust not to fail on me at the wrong time!

My LGS charges $70 plus NICS for a transfer so I would avoid the transfer fee just to buy it from him.
InFamous 311 Posted January 14 Not good enough for @RetNJ47, if you build off that you must shoot steel cased ammo
Cheflife15 455 Posted January 14 Dumb question, as I've never built a lower. Buying this WOULD come with the transfer fee correct? Is there one transfer fee per receiver?
silverado427 10,759 Posted January 14 Yes one transfer fee per transfer, but some of our NJ vendors reduce the fee price for multiple transfers. + NICS check
JohnnyB 4,326 Posted January 14 I believe it would be multiple transfer fees but only 1 NICS. The last thing I need is another AR platform rifle! PS, Lowers are easy to build. 1

Is there one transfer fee per receiver? Depends on the FFL. Some lump it all in on same transfer, some reduce fees, some charge same each transfer. Refer to your FFL of choice.
