prob 10 but you beat me to it. i would def not recommend this gun. in the pic it shows it with a hammer and decocker so its prob not even the gun

Doesn't the NYPD also use G19's with some ungodly weighted trigger?

My friend is a new NYPD cop. He said it's officer's preference between the G19 (With NY Trigger), the Sig 226, or a Smith and Wesson (Don't remember the model).

 

IIRC, Officer has to purchase it from the NYPD armory and then eventually gets re-reimbursed for it.

That's not the same as the Sig's with the DAK triggers, is it? I thought that the DAK models were supposed to be double action only, but with a lighter than usual trigger pull?

The NYPD spec Sigs do not have the DAK trigger - these are straight DAO, and as various people have pointed out, the trigger is heavy. Depending upon cost, you could change the trigger out to a DAK, or a traditional DA/SA, but probably not cost effective.
