Stag Model 2

Recommended Posts

Hi,

A quesiton on my Stag Arms Model 2. The plastic hand guard is getting kinda creaky. I am talking about the part you hold on to and that covers the barrel..

I want to know what my options are as far as replacing the hand guard over the barrel.

I just want to get a different forearm and replace the one on there now.

Any suggestions?

I have a stag model 2. It came with a floating quad rail w/ rail covers. Now selling the upper since I am using a piston driven upper by Adams Arms.

You can get several replacement handguards, but avoid the quad rail or anything bulky, because that makes it front heavy. If you don't need tacticool, just get another plastic handguard, they are cheap (some on the forum may have spares lying around). If you need some tacticool, get a dual rail - top and bottom (round sides), this compromise will be lighter and you can mount optics and lights to/bottom. Topco makes a good light guard that you can customize with rails (more or less).
