Radek 73 Posted September 14, 2010 This is a silly question, but the tin opener that came with the Mosin ammo broke on first use! The flat edge that goes under the fold on the side broke. I was tempted to use a cutting wheel, but that will create some sparks, so want to avoid that! What else can I use that will pop open that bad boy!? Krdshrk 3,878 Posted September 14, 2010 Use a tin punch and a hammer - get an opening, then use pliers to pry it up.
tommy3rd 132 Posted September 14, 2010 You can also use a regular can opener. It's just gonna be tougher to open.

crackaloon 15 Posted September 14, 2010 http://www.harborfreight.com/compact-hand-nibbler-65895.html Yeah those nibblers work surprisingly well. Watch where those nibbles go because they can get everywhere (they stick to things for some reason) and ya don't want one in a weapon.

Edge 6 Posted September 21, 2010 An excellent idea! Use a long pair of needlenose pliers and use them like you would use the opener after you get it started.......
coldsolderjoint 84 Posted September 21, 2010 I used a bayonet and a pair of vise grips. (No Kidding)
