I have an 1988 model year ADL that I've put many rounds through that I would never part with. These guns are sweet. Just tried like a son of a gun to get it to fail and couldn't. Like many have already said, don't point any gun where you shouldn't.

Since I saw this report, I have tried in vain to make my 700 fire accidentally. I can not make it malfunction, using many different techniques posted on the web. After my failed attempts , I can only come to the conclusion, that these people must have played with the trigger, or their rifle is so worn out that is should be replaced anyway.
