Pheseants in Colliers Mills

Recommended Posts

I drive by Colliers Mills WMA, around a good half the perimeter on roads to and from work, and I have neen about a half dozen pheseant the last couple days, not to mention a huge flock of turkeys. I don't hunt, (I keep threatening my wife with starting and bringing home a bird for her to clean up :icon_twisted: ), just curious as to when hunting for birds does start and if the birds in the WMAs are stocked from elsewhere.

Saturday morning the WMA's will be swamped with a sea of orange vests and hats. It's like Opening Day of trout season; only with shotguns. :icon_rolleyes:

If I go anywhere it will be to Whittingham late morning with my Dad. He's 85 and still bird hunts. God bless him.
