hi all,

been reading for a few days and decided to register.

my 1st question(s) to you experts...

regarding AR accessories/attachments (Magpul UBR, 15+ magazines, flash suppressors...etc), are these just illegal to own when they are attached to an AR -OR- are they perfectly legal to own by itself?(not physically attached to a rifle/gun)

TIA

If you possess both the AR and the evil parts, you are in violation of the law.

2C:39-1w(5)tab.gif "Assault firearm" means: A part or combination of parts designed or intended to convert a firearm into an assault firearm, or any combination of parts from which an assault firearm may be readily assembled if those parts are in the possession or under the control of the same person.

Welcome!

Be conscious of "dual-use" stuff. Like if you have a pump shotgun that uses an AR buffer tube with a collapsible stock on it. If it could be unscrewed and used on the AR, I wouldn't own it. Also, if you have a bolt action rifle that takes commodity mags like an AR or FAL, etc... since those mags also fit in semi-auto rifles, they would be considered a no-go to posses even if you are using it in your BA rifle.
