JackDaWack 2,895 Posted September 20, 2011 I have had great success with the federal bulk champion(HV) round tip. Not one failure in 500 rounds with 5,000 to go. Great groups out of my MKIII, a case at $200 is really hard to pass up. Not sure if the copper washed HP's are worth it.
tony357 386 Posted September 20, 2011 federal champion bulk paks, runs great in my AA 1911 conversion kit and also my s&w 2213 and both ruger 10/22's. Also use federal high shock copper plated .40 gr.
lunker 274 Posted September 20, 2011 Try running the GSG nice and wet. I used a goodly amount of oil on the reciprocating bolt and it always fed well with Federal bulk.
Old Glock guy 1,127 Posted September 20, 2011 I believe I have over 10,000 rounds of Federal Bulk. (Whenever I see it on sale, I buy it.) It's all I've ever used. My Ruger 10/22, S&W 15-22, and GSG-522 all seem to do fine with it.
this_is_nascar 162 Posted April 18, 2012 For general target shooting, I'll use bulk ammo from Remington or Winchester. For anything more serious, I go right to the CCI Velocitor round. If I'm out of those, I'll use CCI Min-Mag rounds. What are you folks using? I was searching for posts concerning .22LR hollow-point vs. round-nose and came across this post from me from awhile back. It's funny how my ammo choices have changed as it relates to .22LR ammo. Now, I use the Federal 525 Value Pack (Load #745) for general shooting. If I want to spice it up a bit, I'll fire off some Aguila Interceptors or Supermaximums. As side question, what determines whether you shoot HP or RN in your .22LR firearm? Qel Hoth 33 Posted April 18, 2012 I use whatever is cheapest yet still works. So far this means Federal #745, though I did just order 5 boxes of CCI blazer to try. As fare as HP vs RN, same as above. I'm just putting holes in paper so I use whatever is cheapest yet works.
Urban Grunt 44 Posted April 18, 2012 Federal HV and never looked back
this_is_nascar 162 Posted April 18, 2012 I've never tried the CCI Blazers. I'll have to get a box for grins.
colnar 0 Posted April 19, 2012 I am using the Federal Bulk. I had a box of the Remington Golden, but that stuff is cruddy.
