GiantsFan 22 Posted January 21, 2012 Did the glock fire by itself? No. The guy is a moron for having his finger in the trigger guard and on the trigger before being ready to shoot. End of story. The weapon being unsafe (I am assuming a very very very light trigger, worn out sear) is a secondary issue. Maksim, you are right of course. No excuses for breaking that rule. Maksim 1,504 Posted February 9, 2012 If i remember correctly the serpa holster release is designed to automatically index your finger outside of the trigger guard on draw... Correct. On the 1911, my finger is automatically indexed on the frame of the gun. On the Glocks, it is on the outside of the trigger guard. Many many people use the Serpa holsters and have not had issues. I think people are blaming their own issues on the holster because they don't want to admit they have crappy discipline. I have owned/used Serpa holsters on 1911's, Sigs, and M&P's. never an issue. checko 180 Posted February 9, 2012 ive been practicing with mine recently (1911 sportster style) and have never had a draw where my finger was anything but on the frame of the gun.
