Bolting Rabbits.

I came across this, and just found it fascinating. A fellow spending the day out with his boys on the Northern English Countryside snaring rabbits with a pair of ferrets.

What, you climbed down holes to flush them out? (just kidding)... First thing that comes to mind is Monty Python and the Holy Grail with the Killer Rabbit. Sharp Pointy Teeth..

It's just an ingenuous system that has likely been around for centuries. Really cool to see the ferrets. I had a girlfriend in England when I lived there who grew up as a farm girl and used to go ferreting and coursing for hares with greyhounds. It really is fascinating and looks like a wonderful day out with his boys.

 

I'm also a bit taken at 7:25 when you see this guy's general demeanor and the ease and confidence with which he dispatches a rabbit. No suffering, missed shots or weak-handing it...a quick humane kill.
