Hollow points are legal for use in your home for self defense and for use at the range.

Not sure what you mean by "carry" since NJ doesn't allow its citizens to carry

Hollowpoints are not illegal in NJ. That is myth perpetuated by everyone under the sun. They can only be used at the range or at home. Treat them as you would a handgun when traveling with them (travel only as needed with reasonable deviations to either your home or the shooting range).

By carry meant "have them in your possession". Thank guys my dad gave them to me and I wasn't sure If legal, but since they are ill use them up at the range. You can never be to careful in this state.

They are no more "illegal" than any other hollowpoint. OK to have at home and the range as has been said.
