302w 83 Posted January 7, 2013 The NHL lockout is finally over, so now I can finally follow the Devils instead of just bandwagoning the Seahawks like I have done since October. Anyone else excited? Angry?
voyager9 3,440 Posted January 7, 2013 I thought I'd be more excited but I'm actually just 'Meh'. Maybe that will change when the only other sport on TV is basketball. A short, rushed, season with no training camps/pre-season, and a bad taste in my mouth over the whole situation..
greatgunstatenj 32 Posted January 7, 2013 Excited but it is probably going to be a sh*t season. We'll be back here in 10 years though! haha
FLHX 1 Posted January 7, 2013 I am looking forward to it. I am a little pissed off that it took so long! I think hockey is the toughest sport there is, these guys should be making baseball player money, This season I will watch but I hate the striking. I think the owners are greedy!! lunker 274 Posted January 7, 2013 Maybe it will be like '95, the first time the Devils won the Cup. Sour grape Rangers fans claimed it didn't count because it was a shortened season.
Johnny 0 Posted January 7, 2013 So when the Rangers win the Cup this year Devils fans will say nothing?
checko 180 Posted January 7, 2013 As a season ticket holder I'm fuggin pissed. A short probably sub par season while the dolans have held my money since April!! That said, I can't wait to go to the garden opening night.
bjones1500 0 Posted January 7, 2013 I'm excited, but also relieved that I passed on buying season tickets this year, I might still consider doing like a 13 game package or something for the devils. That being said if there are and devils fans who'd want to go halves on a ticket plan shoot me a message. Can't wait to get back to the rock
Handyman 5,682 Posted January 7, 2013 If all professional sports disappeared from the world tomorrow... the world would be a better place.
BlueLineFish 615 Posted January 7, 2013 It just pisses me off. The owners and the commish are scumbags. The players union proposed an even split months ago and were turned down. Anyway. Lets go rangers. Suck it devils
seamusSU 0 Posted January 7, 2013 As much as the lockout has pissed me off, I can't wait to see some hockey again. I never realized how little there is to watch in the fall/winter until there was no hockey!
seamusSU 0 Posted January 7, 2013 Oh, and now I can piss everyone off: let's go Pens!

302w 83 Posted January 7, 2013 I definitely enjoyed watching the Rangers this past season. 'Specially this point: In all honesty, that was a hell of a series and it could have been anyones win. Nerve-racking and glorious haha.

A-Tech 8 Posted January 7, 2013 C'mon. We all know that in rivalries, it isn't about winning. It's just about beating the other guys.

bulpup 98 Posted January 7, 2013 I just imagine all the players spitting out pizza and beer and yelling "WHAT?!?!?"

A-Tech 8 Posted January 7, 2013 I know I'm just busting chops...it is a great rivalry I think it's one of the best in the league aside from Detroit and Chicago.
NJScott 15 Posted January 7, 2013 While there are still some great athletes on skates these days, I've got to admit that I don't follow hockey much anymore since guys like Lemieux, Gretzky, Messier, Leetch, Borque, Robataille, et all, retired. It was a different, more enjoyable game to watch back then, IMO. Besides, all pro team athletes and owners are too damned greedy; take it from Chazz Palmintieri:
Soju 153 Posted January 7, 2013 I'm excited to see some NHL hockey even though I'm not excited about how they got there. Watching USA win gold in the World Juniors was nice and all, but it wasn't NHL hockey. I hope the season isn't a huge wreck though. I have a feeling that it is going to take a good few weeks until you start to see teams mesh, and some good, exciting, clean hockey. Until then, I feel like there will be some very sloppy play, lack of chemistry (cliché, I know), and some lackluster performances. I sure hope I am wrong.
