NicePants 58 Posted January 9, 2013 I think we should all celebrate it. Hell, buy a gun or some ammo if you can.
ruger9 0 Posted January 9, 2013 Sounds great! But you'll never get a port at the range...lol
Ray Ray 3,566 Posted January 10, 2013 Just go somewhere pro 2A. Cabela's, Bass Pro Shop, local gun shops, ranges whatever. Just go and say I support the 2A.

bulpup 98 Posted January 10, 2013 I appreciate the sentiment, but maybe a second ammendment appreciation day wouldn't sound so redneck?
johnott 5 Posted January 10, 2013 I agree with "gun appreciation day" in principle, but I think it was not well planned. A lot of gun ranges are in the "boonies" and few people are going to notice the increase in support except those already in the firearms community and in places like PA where every Walmart or Sears sells firearms or accessories it splits the people up into very small groups. Gun shops are already making a ton of money right now... they know how much we appreciate firearms. What we need to to is show the rest of the country how we feel as gun owners and as 2nd Amendment supporters. What should have been done is have a National "Support the 2nd Amendment Day". On that day, everyone who supports the 2nd Amendment should drive with their lights on and maybe give their horn a tap when they see another vehicle with their lights on, or have a certain color ribbon tied to their car antenna, or fly the American Flag on their vehicle, etc. that way more people can participate. Not everyone can take off work and go to a rally. But if people are going to rally... I think it would have been better if everyone would go to their local municipal building or town-hall. Those places are usually very visible and would probably get better media coverage. At a time like this the NRA should have taken the lead. They have the resources to put together a National Rally, but unfortunately I don't see anything happening. Instead of one big unifying plan we have many people with good, but differing ideas which makes us look divided and unorganized. Anyway, that's how I see it. But on topic I def think we need a ngd! Evidence? What I heard was, the white house requested they come to the "talks", Wal-Mart at first declined, then later reneged, which means they were coerced. Has WM agreed to some sort of 2A limitation?
jackandjill 683 Posted January 10, 2013 I think the focus should be more on Constitution and 2nd Amendment, less on Guns in specific. Remember ARMS, not just guns. How about AppreciateConstitutionDay, SupportConstitutionDay, PledgeConstitutionDay. And ask of those who are against, DO YOU SUPPORT and DEFEND UNITED STATES CONSTITUTION ? And ask Politicians, DO YOU SUPPORT UNITED CONSTITUTION THAT YOU TOOK OATH TO UPHOLD, UNCONDITIONALLY ?
