Turnabout is fair play?

Recommended Posts

Here's an idea-- tell me what you think. Since the NJ legislators want us to go through background checks, psych evaluations, etc. in order to purchase/own firearms, how about we do the same for them? In the spirit of the NJ2AS litigation fund, how about the NJ2AS put together a fund to hire a private investigator to look into the background of our worst anti-gun legislators (e.g. Oliver, Cryan, etc.). Perhaps there is something in their past or present that might make them unfit for office?? Or make them less likely to get re-elected? After all, these people are public employees, our employees, and we would be remiss in not checking them out. I would be more than happy to contribute to the cause.

And once you find out that they are crooks, what then? Do you think it matters to the average voter or politician that SENATOR Menendez sleeps with underage boys and girls in the Dominican Republic? Does it matter that Rep Charles Rangle (D-NY) has been cited for tax evasion numerous times and yet still maintains his seat on the powerful House Ways and Means Committee?

What you are looking to do is strike fear into the hearts of politicians. 1) They have no fear, 2) They have no heart.

We do background checks on almost every other public employee... Why not them, too? It wouldn't do much for current reps, but it would be very helpful when they run for office or new candidates and they have baggage hanging over their head.

Is turnabout fair play? ABSOLUTELY!!!!

I'm all for looking into the lives of any and all elected officials. Why should they get a pass?

They require us to get a 'colonoscopy' background check to own a firearm, they should be required to the same vetting process to even be eligible to run for public office.
