NRF 0 Posted February 15, 2013 About as newbie as can be. Picked a lousy time to jump in. Have fired all of a handful of rounds my whole life. Filled my paperwork and completed bio app about a month ago. Still waiting...

hd2000fxdl 422 Posted February 15, 2013 Welcome to the forum. A few things to check out in my sig, local club is the OBRPC and NJ2AS to help us keep out rights. You may have picked a time there is a lot of things going on, but you also picked a time where we as a community has never been so together for a common goal. MedicYeti 96 Posted February 15, 2013 Welcome to the forum and the sport. It may seen to be bad timing but I'd argue that it is a time we need more new shooters and more advocates. The forum has a ton of info for new and experienced shooters. You may want to think about a firearms safety class when starting. An NRA basic class will give you the chance to handle a variety of firearms.

NRF 0 Posted February 17, 2013 Thank you all again for the warm welcome. I just wanted to add that yesterday's GFH class was excellent. My turn at the range was rather surprising. A Glock 9mm and a 38 snub were what they laid out for me. Is it alright to say how incredibly awesome it felt?? Ten shots with each. I kept them all on the paper. Lol. Very happy I decided to take that class.
