Just wondering if anyone is looking to take the upcoming Civil Service LE test in June?

It was one test for all law enforcement then the state figured they could make more money splitting them up.

They should. I have heard good things. The test is easy compared to the application process and the Academy.

Some idea of what its like...14 week resident academy 2 week inservice training with 16 month probation period after graduation.

Good luck to those taking it. My job has a separate test to get hired. If anybody is interested I will keep you updated as I hear they may have another test soon. Last one was 07. I took my test in 02 and got hired in 08

I think 30,000 took the tests last time.

My job had 3700 take the 02 test with 11000 passing. Obviously rough estimates

I got hired for County DOC from the 2010 test. The Bernstein Review Course is worth the investment. Still want to get on a PD though

So what's on these exams? Are they difficult/ What sorts of questions do they ask, what subjects? Is there a written part, or all multiple choice?

Im not sure anymore. Havent taken one in 12 years. They did have multiple choice and some reasoning questions tho.

I have been back and forth about it. I figure without having military experience and only a few years left to go full time my chances are slim. I should have done it 12 years ago when my old man was still with the Sheriffs dept.
