just looking at vortex stuff and saw that they have a new flip out magnifier

Looks pretty good. Cabelas website has it for $229. Same price as the older model with american defense swing mount.

I have a 3x magnifier (the original) and a sparc and I'm very happy with the quality of each.

Not really. In general, the magnifiers run a bit more than the dot form the same manufacturer. Keep in mind that is MSRP, and their sparc MSRPs for $289 and the strikefire for $229.

 

DO find the ratio and hit up retail prices for those and you will ahve an idea of real cost to buy it.

Considering you get the optic AND mount in one it's not a bad price.. the high end magnifiers are 300 with out any mount.

I will definitely buy one as vortex glass is excellent and their products and warranty are very good

agree, aimpoint is the cat's meow

 

if anyone has the sportsmans channel, watch the torture tests on DD rifles with aimpoints. I watched in disbelief at how tough those aimpoints were.
