Anyone shoot a Taurus?

I'm looking for an affordable 9mm to plink at the range with. I don't want "crap" but something decent that won't break the bank. For about $100 less than a Glock I'm looking at the Taurus 809 3.5" compact.

 

Anyone have any experience with these semi autos? YouTube reviews seem to lean towards them being good quality ...a good bang for the buck (see what I did there? lol)

ive only shot a Taurus revolver..  was decent enough, but trigger was a little heavy (and it wasnt new)..  otherwise, i didnt see an issue with it...

Taurus PT92 is a very nice handgun for someone with big hands.  Taurus 66 and 85 are nice revolvers for what they are.

i have a pt809. Ive put 500+ rounds through it so far and i freakin love it. Im sure it dosent have the fit and finish of some other makes but its been reliable for me so far

I have the PT92AFS from back in the day.  Its ALMOST my favorite gun.  Never failed once.  15+1.  I will grab this one first if needed.  No complaints and I would buy another Taurus in a heartbeat.

Taurus makes good guns for the price.  I've owned a few, I have not owned the 809.  Finish is just one notch below the other brands it usually clones but not at all bad.   I would buy another.
