armor piercing .380 ammo?

Is armor piercing ammo typically made in .380 caliber? I'm wondering if he had "genuine" armor piercing ammo, or if he had something widely available, but the police decided to arbitrarily consider armor piercing?

IIRC, KTW made their armor piercing ammo in 380 along with a few other calibers.
