Help understanding the Dillon presses

Recommended Posts

Pricey yes, but not nearly as pricey as have a separate machine for each caliber like some people. :scratchhead:

Hornady powder drop, micro meter, and quick change die..... same time to change a powder drop plus the seconds it takes to dial in your charge, all you need are the quick change dies which are cheap. You can also run this setup on any machine. I don't store powder in my hopper, and use the same powder for my pistol rounds... but that could be an issue for some.

I never store powder in the hopper, always empty.  I use about 8 different powders for my pistol rounds and 4 different for rifle rounds.  I already order a bunch of the powder measures.  This was a lot of dough all aimed at convenience or I'd have stuck with my single stage forever.  But after cranking out 200 rounds in a short period of time I'm somewhat hooked.
