I'm a sucker for Fine Looking Italians

Recommended Posts

She's a bute...not a bad price. .I collect Ithaca SKBs O/U's. ..always liked the Beretta also

Not a bad price? I think that's a ridiculously amazing price? Was that a retail or face to face? That case alone is expensive.

Face to face, the guy I bought it from buys collections often. This was one of the lower end long gun's in the bunch. He sold it to me for what he had into it. He had to buy this one along with everything else to make the sale. You should see the others in the bunch if you think this one was nice.

Ok here's my latest addition, and my very first Italian, so I figured it belongs in this thread. Beretta Silver Pigeon model S 686 Special 29.5" sporting over under with ejectors matt finish on the barrel satin finish on the wood. With an SKB hard case. Has a few safe marks, and a small scratch on the barrel near the vent rib, otherwise perfect. Paid $1,075. I think it was a decent deal on my end for the gun it is. Can't wait till the next shootout to try it out.

Awesome find and score.  Congrats!

So while on Vacation out of the country this week, I wore an RTSP T-shirt to the pool at our resort. I made a new friend, pretty cool to meet someone as into shooting as I am on foreign soil. I emailed him a shipping address and he's going to send me some 92fx and PX4 mags when we get home. He gave me a really nice tactical pen at the pool side bar as well.

Looking to sell my Beretta 1301 Tac. Black, standard stock, extended factory 7 round magazine, WITH replaceable chokes. Gun is like new, with all original packaging, paperwork, and accessories. Has been fired less than 250 rounds, and is in perfect shape. 7+1 round model, made NJ compliant with a 2 round limiter. I bought this gun brand new less than a month ago. I’ll include a Beretta hard plastic, foam lined gun case. I have a 1301 comp incoming, and while I would love to keep the tac, it’s just not practical, so I am letting it go.

Located in 08724, will travel to a ffl for transfer within a reasonable distance. Would prefer not to deal with shipping.
Please, serious buyers only. Ask any questions and I’ll answer them asap!

      Hi guys,
I am new to the forum. I just purchased a Beretta 1301 Tactical and I would like to extend the capacity to the maximum allowed, and that would require getting a +1 extension, but i can’t find that anywhere. All that is offered is +2 or more.
There is only one solution that i have found, but i can’t find dealers that offer it. It’s an Italian company that has it (Toni Systems) and what’s great about it is that it’s a +2 extension size, so the extension will be flush with the barrel, which will be optically very pleasing and useful, while it provides a +1 extension making it legal in NJ. But, i can’t get it. Has anyone already found a solution?
      Thanks!

    • We never let then inside.  Last re-evaluation was 6-7 years ago, wife politely told him that he was welcome to look around the property and he could look in the windows. He saw two white resin chairs in the basement and told her that this constituted a finished basement. And everything in the basement is bare concrete/ cinder block, and mechanical systems. Nothing finished about it. Ultimately he relented and I'm sure that was a ploy to coerce us to allow him in
    • I use an Alien Gear cloak tuck (IWB) with my Shield.  Neoprene back - in the summer it does feel warm but doesn't rub or chafe.   https://aliengearholsters.com/ruger-lcp-iwb-holster.html Could also go with the shapeshift as it has multiple options - OWB/IWB, Appendix... https://aliengearholsters.com/ruger-lcp-shapeshift-modular-holster-system.html
    • The  12-1 compression ratio L88 is long gone. This is GM's updated version. it might be  pump gas 10-1 engine The L88 was a aluminum head  cast iron block engine with a nasty solid lifter cam. the  ZL1 was a all aluminum  12 or 13-1 compression ratio engine with the best forged internal parts at the time and had a even nastier solid lifter cam
    • I like my regular carry holster.  OWB leather with belt slots.  I've been carrying for over a year and it was comfortable and I hardly even noticed it.  I carry (usually) a Ruger LCP .380 - light, convenient, tiny. But...today I ended up taking it off an leaving it home after a few hours. I cut down a big maple tree a few days ago and I spent 3/4 of today loading and unloading firewood into the back of my truck and a trailer.  It was a warm day, I was dirty, tired, sweaty, and my holster was rubbing against my side.  The leather and exposed metal snap was no longer comfortable. I'm thinking about adding a layer of something to that part of the holster to soften the contact.  Anything insulating will make it worse.  I don't want a sweaty, hotter holster against my skin.  I'm imagining something thin, breathable, that won't absorb sweat, and softer than leather, metal snaps, and rivets.   But I have no idea what would work. I'm hoping somebody else has already figured this out and I can just do what they did. Any suggestions appreciated.
    • Check the primers on the ammo you didn't shoot yet. Are they fully seated? If the primer is not just below flush with the back of the case, the first hit can seat it better then the second hit ignites it.
