edwill86 0 Posted June 22, 2014 My dad has a 12gauge Mossberg 590a1 with the speed load stock. He got it used maybe 2 years ago. He's thinking of selling it for a 20 gauge of 410. It has very few rounds through it from us owning it. Unknown from previous owner. What do you guys thing its worth as a trade in? Reason being I'm thinking of buying it from him if he does go to sell it if he's not going to get much from say cabelas. Then I'll have a handgun rifle and shot gun . checko 180 Posted June 22, 2014 Which one is it? There are several versions. You're probably looking at somewhere around $

checko 180 Posted June 22, 2014 That one? Maybe a little less. Somewhere in the $400s It isn't a regular Mossy 500. It has metal trigger guard and saftey, as well as a heavy duty barrel.
Blacksmythe 71 Posted June 22, 2014 Thats a 450ish shottie. they are 500+ new.
edwill86 0 Posted June 22, 2014 Yeah that's part of why he got it. We where thinking he'd get maybe 200 at cabelas since he got it for 300 used 2 years ago there... If he can get in the 400 range I can't buy it for that. I would have given him the 200 for sure and kept it .
checko 180 Posted June 22, 2014 Haha nah thats not a $200 shotty. Maybe a maverick pump or something. Here's mine
RecessedFilter 222 Posted June 23, 2014 Trade in? You might as well give your wallet to the salesman at Cabelas because they are going to give you probably $200 for a $400+ shotgun. Sell it on the forum. Someone will snatch it up in a few days.
edwill86 0 Posted June 23, 2014 I will not! Lol. If my dad wants to get 200 from cabelas I'll give my dad the 200 and keep it for myself!
Lalo 13 Posted June 23, 2014 Keep it! If not, I'll buy it for $200...
illy 1 Posted June 23, 2014 I will not! Lol. If my dad wants to get 200 from cabelas I'll give my dad the 200 and keep it for myself! Seriously? So if your was getting scammed at an auto mechanic and some car forum guys told how avoid it, your answer would be: "F*ck that. Now that I know, I'll be the one scamming him." edwill86 0 Posted June 23, 2014 No that's not what I'm saying at all. He's not going to sell it online. He's going to cabelas no matter what I say to him. Since that's the case I would then match whatever cabelas offers him to keep it in the family. If I could afford more I would pay it to him. He only paid 300 for it in the first place and he doesn't like shooting it.
PeteF 1,044 Posted June 24, 2014 Do a search of this site for 590A1. You will find several that have sold recently. Many are upgraded models but or mew but the going price is >$500. If he sells it at cabelas he will get taken. Do a search on gunbroker for nation wide sales. Have him list it here, he will get a better offer than at cabelas
Scrap 4 Posted June 24, 2014 I was going to say, I probably got $200 for it if it comes down to that

Shoot and enjoy. I bought a used 590A1 in perfect condition for $450 a year and a half ago from a forum member and love the darn thing. Enjoy!
