boo 6 Posted July 16, 2014 Next trip ask them what ID you need to buy a Troy AR to go with it. But they dont...hmmm...is this a trick question? Are you sure it wasn't HP ammo? I have been buying ammo from Dick's in paramus for the last 6 years and they never asked for my FPID or logged any rifle ammo purchases including .223/5.56. It was Independence 5.56mm FMJ that went on sale for Black Friday last year. I was there on the Saturday afternoon following the Black Friday. It's my only time buying rifle ammo there, and since it was on a busy shopping day, it's possible I was just dealing with someone that didn't usually work the department and didn't know the difference (I remembered another customer asking the guy if the 5.56mm on sale would also work with the .223 chambered rifle and he didn't know the answer). I mentioned that I thought only handgun ammo was to be logged and his response was that they log some rifle ammo purchases anyways and I just let it go. 9X19 125 Posted July 24, 2014 Can or must? If I buy .38sp or 9mm I MUST hand over my FID. The last time I bought .22LR in NJ, which was a very long time ago, no such requirement was in place.Must as per NJSP.
