Lecky 1 Posted April 25, 2015 Hi all, can anyone please tell me where to find the best selection and price on leather holsters? Also is leather the way to go. Even though we can't carry in this awesome state I want holsters for all my handguns. Thank you.
checko 180 Posted April 25, 2015 Man that's super subjective. Iwb? Owb? Retention? Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
NickySantoro 211 Posted April 25, 2015 OP, I'm pretty much where you are on holsters. I've had good luck with www.buyaholster.com
gfl216 226 Posted April 25, 2015 The store with the most holsters that I've ever seen in NJ is lawman's Supply in Pennsauken but that mat be a little far for you. Try looking on e-bay. There are literally thousands of different options but, If you want to go to a shop try Atlantic Tactical in Somerset. They have a decent amount of holsters in the store. A-Tech 8 Posted April 25, 2015 I'm a little biased on the subject but, kydex is far superior in durability, maintenance, and wear on the gun. If you find yourself looking for a kydex holster, I'm your guy.
MartyZ 696 Posted April 25, 2015 I actually have a related question, i know probably been debated to death. Straight drop or fbi cant? I know that for competition straight drop is better but for CC and self defense i have seen many conflicting opinions.

CATI 0 Posted April 26, 2015 Milt Sparks is the gold standard for leather.
Old Dog 19 Posted April 26, 2015 I carry daily and find that Kydex is unyielding against my hip. Feels like a brick but if you just want a holster for the heck of it or if for OWB, not a bad choice. For me, a hybrid holster is the most comfortable IWB holster is the way to go.
average joe 5 Posted April 27, 2015 Remora holsters great for all day carry.
Worn_Holster 2 Posted April 27, 2015 Milt Sparks holsters are the way to go.
checko 180 Posted April 27, 2015 I have a milt sparks Iwb for my 1911 and an alien gear for my ppq and a safari land retention for training. I really like the alien gear to be honest. I'm gonna try an all kydex soon for carry from a-tech. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
MedicYeti 96 Posted April 27, 2015 Everyone has their own opinion. Personally I like Kydex if it's an in the wasteband holster(IWB). I find I get less "pinching" when drawing and reholstering. I like leather for out wasteband holsters (OWB). I don't like paddle holsters, I think they shift too much and don't fit me well.
