As others have said, their club their rules.  As for NRA membership most if not all clubs require that as I believe by doing that they are able to get fairly cheap insurance through the NRA for the club.

That is a protection racket, it's basically extortion.  I am a member of the NRA because of what they do on the national level, but in NJ, the NRA doesn't do jack shit..  Join the NRA or you cannot enjoy your 2A rights here is the epitome of a mafia type control.
