Another gratuitous studio scale SW ship...this time, a Y-wing.

Those are pretty impressive. Did you make or buy them?

I bought the x-wing, but I built the y-wing. They are both made from resin kits. They are the same size as the original studio models used to film the movie.

They are 1/24 scale, the x-wing is approx 22" long, and the y-wing is about 27" long.

I am currently building a studio scale x-wing as a gift for a friend of mine.

I am painting it as Red 6. Have a ways to go before it's finished.

Awesome models!  I still have my original 70's Star Wars toys, all heavily played with so only sentimental value remains.

Revenge of the 6th

Thanks!

It amazes me how much $$  some of those old SW toys go for. I have seen some in the thousands of dollars.

I wish I didn't blow mine up with fire crackers. Or take them apart to see how they work.

Do you remember the vouchers for the action figures?

I do remember the vouchers. I never had any of the action figures, or the toys. Back in 1977, I was 11, and was a little old to play with SW toys.

Now that I'm all grown and 50something, I collect SW 'memorabilia'....not toys (that's my story, and I'm sticking to it)! Lol
