Bellasdaddy 31 Posted November 2, 2020 Is this the right category for this? Who knows...? My cousin just informed me that he tried to order some 9mm ball ammo online but anything greater than 115grain was restricted so what I am saying is they would not allow him to purchase 124 or 147 gr ball ammo but would allow him to purchase 115 grain. I am now literally dumb-founded by the absurdity of the world we now live in...

Krdshrk 3,878 Posted November 2, 2020 Who said that? There's no such restriction anywhere.

As well you should be, particularly if you live in NJ. But as noted above, there is no such restriction.
Bellasdaddy 31 Posted November 2, 2020 Of course there is no restriction...the online dealer created this mythical restriction and refused to ship anything greater than 115. Ok, you forced me...it was the online PX...
CAL. .30 M1 2,101 Posted November 2, 2020 The prevalence of 38 Super in South of the border locations was driven by the desire to limit military caliber ownership by civis. Do NOT discount that happening here.

I'm surprised he didn't ask for a copy of your Federal Explosives license too!

(a leftover from my side gig as a crew chief for a fireworks company). But seriously, vendors throwing up nonsensical roadblocks to purchase really sucks. The same story at Fort Lee.
GRIZ 3,369 Posted November 7, 2020 I've had an employee of a FFL (not one affiliated with this forum) tell me I was committing a "major felony" when I brought in a Shockwave I was selling. It was not about the Shockwave. He said "it's a class 3" and was okay with transferring it although they didn't have a Class 3. There is so much bs some people believe is law.
