2 pointsAssuming you are pulling a permit, the town inspector who will inspect the final installation may* be an excellent resource to talk you through what needs to be done. Surest way to make certain that it will pass inspection. The name may be available on the town website, or you can get it through the building department. *I say 'may' because most of the inspectors I've dealt with have been very helpful, but some are quite obstructionist when it comes to homeowners doing their own work. Hope you have one of the good ones.

2 pointsShort barrel lets the bullet get out of the barrel sooner which significantly reduces dwell time. This unlocks everything before the BCG slams into the back of the receiver extension which causes the first of two “bounces”’ in a traditional straight blowback AR pistol caliber carbine. The usual fix for that is a heavier spring and buffer - but that creates its own problems on the front end where the BCG then slams back into battery harder than it needs too creating a noticeable second “bounce”. With the short barrel, the corresponding shorter dwell time will feel like it is shooting softer and smoother with no “bounce” affecting control or sight picture. If tuned correctly, the BCG and buffer will now float in the receiver extension and then slide smoothly back into battery with minimal energy.

2 pointsI have a sneaking suspicion that the people who are using switches on Glocks probably aren't legal carry permit holders, and her ignorance should have been pointed out post haste.

1 pointStolen / illegally obtained pistols in most cases, not legally acquired "assault weapons."

1 pointThis dude is from Cali. He probably has no idea what you are talking about. But, if he's smart, it'll be pork roll. It's like an IQ test.

1 pointI ordered a pistol from Bud's and happened to be at the FFL when it was delivered. We opened the box, and then the case, and the pistol was gone. (The 2nd magazine was still there.) Upon close examination we found the shipping box had been slit on the long edge, the case obviously removed to get the pistol out, then replaced and the box taped up. We took pictures, reported it to Bud's and the ATF. Bud's credited me about 12 days later when the 'investigation' was completed. Never heard anything more about it, from Bud's or the ATF. Although someone directly involved told me 'this happens a lot more than you think'. How nice.

1 pointSo much ignorance and misinformation! The woman said Glock is the most popular carry gun and you can switch it to full auto and fire 20 shots a second! Please tell me where I can legally get one of those!

1 pointI didn't get to listen to the proceedings, but apparently a highlight was when Assemblyman Brian Bergen, R-Morris, having had several lines of questioning stonewalled by bill sponsor Danielsen, said on mic: “God. he’s such an a**hole.” After a reporter tweeted the comment, Bergen replied: “I did say it. And I meant it.” I'm proud to have Bergen representing me in Morris county. https://www.nj.com/politics/2022/11/tough-nj-concealed-carry-gun-proposal-moves-closer-to-law-after-fierce-debate-at-statehouse.html

0 pointsSo on Oct 28th Monmouth County Judge signed off on my paperwork. I followed up with them on Nov 3rd and they assured me it would be sent out that same day. Weeks pass by with no answers and my PD still not receiving the paperwork. Finally yesterday I get this email: Mr. (Deleted), I have followed up on the status of your permit. My clerk originally reported sending the completed paperwork to the local police department on 11/3. However that information was incorrectly reported. I can confirm my staff is sending out the completed paperwork to Marlboro today. I do apologize for the inconvenience but appreciate your continued patience as we work diligently to address these applications. Sincerely, (Deleted) Criminal Division Manager Superior Court of New Jersey Monmouth Vicinage Basically almost a full month after its been signed off they tell me they are going to send out smh
