  1. nice stuff for good prices......but its not all from amazon. like raz said its a referral site....meaning you have to pay shipping for each individual item you buy, unless you buy all from the same store.
  2. new ethanal blend gas is bad for older carbs. stabil makes a product thats made to lessen the corrosive effects of new gas on older motors. pour it in with every tank. also, i remember hearing somewhere a company makes a carb rebuild kit specifically for ethanal gas. replaces rubber seals with neoprene or something newer that doesnt degrade with new gas.
  3. CDNN just raised their prices on alot of things, including beretta mags, nearly across the board. their factories are now 24.99 which is ridiculous. the GI contract mags are still 14.99, which are still good, serviceable mags which i highly doubt would ever jam unless under extremely dirty, sandy conditions.
  4. 30 days is nothing. last year it took 3.5 months. this past permit was 1.5 months. i wouldnt bother doing anything unless youre over 3 months
  5. other then the window, whats the deal about emags? and what good is the window if we're only using half the mag anyway?
  6. i also loved jericho. what i think hurt it most was the writers strike. it was off the air for over a year, and when it came back, all but the diehard fans forgot about it and moved to something else.
  7. yes. depends on how they were pinned. midwest pins the baseplate. not everyone does that.
  8. i guess youre forgetting about me again
  9. they just raised their prices on beretta mags. just 1-2 weeks ago, both the factory 15rnd and elite mags were at least $8 each cheaper. $25 for a 15rnd factory mag is insanely expensive. same goes for the 96 mags.
  10. every zombie movie/show is the same. people get extremely close with the infected, with no sanitary precaution whatsoever. case in point, when the blonde shot her sister, after she died then turned in her arms. sitting there, holding a soon to be zombie, is stupid. so is putting a pistol under her chin and shooting her, barely a foot away from your own face. if a single scratch could infect you (not counting the plot point that its already airborne), then a face full of spattered blood will certainly infect you. i put it down as creative license, and the fact that it wouldnt make for good looking tv to have every character wearing a face mask, goggles, and a face shield.
  11. i sent my AZ out, with delivery confirmation, on feb. 27. i still have not gotten either the permit or even the delivery confirmation receipt.
  12. first off, $1500 is EXPENSIVE. period. second, when i bought my HK, it was the same price as the glock 21 i bought at the same time. i bought it just because i wanted it. i didnt need it to make me feel better or to have some snobbish 'i paid more for my guns so im better then you' attitude that many have
  13. apocalypse man was a single show special. it was interesting, but he did alot of things you of course shouldnt. throwing a crowbar across an open drawbridge and swinging across? running everywhere? its not so easy to simply wander around, find a CB, hook it up to a recorded loop and broadcast forever. he also didnt make bio-diesel. he poured pure used cooking oil into an old diesel suburban. he at least made the remark that its NOT real bio-diesel, and while it MAY actually run, it wont run well or for long. he made the caveat of saying it may be good enough to get him the 50 miles to the 'evac zone' or wherever it was he was going to. it would have been just as informative and more realistic if he explained how any home heating oil IS diesel, and can be siphoned out of a tank and poured directly into any diesel engine, and have it run just as good as if it came from the pump.
  14. a friend lives in franklin lakes. maybe 20min from me. again, if you want, you can check out my selection and see if something interests you along those lines
  15. where in north nj are you. youre welcome to check out my gear sometime. its also easier to see things in person and answer questions that way
  16. both. some people wear a typical concealable kelvar vest, with a plate carrier over it. they make make different kelvar inserts, as well as other bullet proof material. kevlar, dynema, etc. i have the front and back panels from a concealable IIIA kevlar vest in my PC, along with a layer of flak jacket kevlar. when i feel like blowing 4-500 on plates, ill get some. as far as moving with it on, ask anyone in the zed or who was at the zombie shoot at old bridge. i work my full kit all day, and it never slowed me down. all depends on what shape youre in.
  17. i have one to go with my 92. its the best pistol caliber carbine ever made
  18. you can have both kevlar and plates in many plate carriers
  19. im sure M4 doesnt meant the safety will manipulate the slide. he probably mis-typed or had a brain fart as far as berettas, ive had my 92 probably longer then a few people on this forum have been alive. wharton, we need more information as to how you are shooting. describe in detail exactly what you are doing when you shoot. how you load, how you take the first shot, what happens when you do use the safety with a cocked hammer, etc. if you want, we can meet at either a central location or even a range and go over the gun
  20. thats the truth. its also been pushed back for the past 3 years. itd be nice to see, but dont hold your breath
