  1. I believe it depends on where you live. I don't know of a state law, but more likely a local ordinance that would prevent you from firing a(any) weapon within XXX number of feet of a residence/building. Check your local ordinances
  2. I believe that pic there is after it floated off the jetty some, however the bottom is torn to shreds. It should also be said that the captain briefed his crew and passengers as to where the safety equipment was, and what to do in an emergency, something EVERYONE that owns a boat should do anytime they take people out on the water. Shit happens fast on the water! In speaking to people that know this guy for years, he is a top notch captain and a great fisherman. It doesn't take much to end up in a bad spot near that inlet. Electronics aside, if you've never been on the water in dense fog, its scary and very easy to get disoriented Heres some more info on the story if anyone cares http://brick.patch.com/articles/six-rescued-after-boat-sinks-in-barnegat-inlet#photo-10130955
  3. Keep in mind that most Blade-tech holsters are currently running about 5 weeks lead time. I expect mine to arrive today, it shipped just over 5 weeks from order date, after I called to check on it.
  4. Yeah, i think this is what I am going with, 4.8. thanks
  5. Looking to start reloading .40. I have Win 231 and Berries Plated 180gr bullets. Anyone reload .40 with this combo?
  6. Love her attorneys quote, "She was shot, shouldn't that be punishment enough?" ~ I might actually agree with him, this time..
  7. Nice video.. Mosin Mauser 98 Enfield No 4 M1 Garand K31 Swiss I have 3 outta 5, still looking for a nice Mauser 98 for myself..

  9. Yup, what David said above and http://www.range-14.com/home.html
  10. Point Pleasant - One of my employees dropped off FPID paperwork on 11/28/11, received his FPID and PP on May 9th! No reason given besides the normal, "she's on vacation, he's on vacation, the detective is out sick", BS.. Brick - I dropped off PP on 2/28, received them on 5/10, not terrible, but not great either.
  11. Brick - Dropped off paperwork on 2/28 or 3 PP's, picked them up on 5/10.
  12. Someone with more knowledge will step in, but when I reasearched O/U's for myself, most of what I read was that any sub 1k O/U will probably not last. Now, I can't say this as fact as I don't have experience with any other than my Browning Centauri (12-$1,400 if i remember correctly.) I did buy a Stoeger semi-auto that has been flawless, I know they make a sub 1k O/U. maybe check into them..
  13. amazon has it on pre-order for $14.08. not sure how I know that
  14. Point Pleasant does this as well, I have an employee that put in for FID and I got the letter. Not a problem obviously, but not sure it's really anyones business, especially @ your job. He's only been waiting since November... still no FID
  15. wow, 30+ posts and your already on your way to making a lot of friends here... good luck with that... I understand your frustration, however, people here are out to HELP each other, and sometimes things will get off topic, but there will most always be good information. Do you realize each person in this thread is "trying" to help and educate you? making sure you have a legit legal rifle? I know it's not what you asked, but if you knew ANYTHING about NJ laws, you wouldn't post a topic with the word AK47 in it, since, in fact, you do not have an AK47.. don't be a dick, don't get offended, just read and learn. Also, as has been stated, please don't rely 100% on what your LEO brother says or thinks is fact, ask 5 cops the same gun question and you will get 6 answers.. NJ laws suck and they are at times confusing... back on topic, that is a nice rifle. have you shot it yet?
  16. not really a crazy story, but aside from the "usual" muzzle sweeps from renters at shore shot, I watched a guy shoot out the lights downrange . Another time, Bryan and I were there for early Sat or Sun morning, and they let a LEO in to test out a 12g flash bang round. We were notified ahead of time and had to push our muffs on our ears while he shot it, damn that was a LOUD round, couldn't see for a few minutes either, def would NOT want to be in a house without ears and having someone shoot one of those in...
  17. Got mine yesterday as well, rather unimpressive to say the least.. I liked last years better.
  18. Personally, I don't want to get shot at all, on purpose or not!
