I bet there's a one-stop shop gun lawyer who specializes in expungement that has a doctor on retainer. between the two of them, they'll have everything done for you.

I don't know if you noticed, but the State Police part of the application goes quickly. The delay starts once it gets transferred to the local PD. It would be great if we get to skip that step and have everything handled by the State Police.

just get the damn letter! or not, if you don't want to pay. you're in a pay to play situation. You want a gun? you'll either pay a lawyer to fight the denial or a doctor for that letter, but in both cases you're gonna pay if you want that gun bad enough.

Be careful with that statement. In our eyes it’s not, but to the letter of NJ’s law, it is a weapon. That’s why if you search “paintball gun legality in NJ” on google, you’ll see lawyers advertising that they defend this specific charge in court. Which means even if you’re found not guilty, you still have to go through the court system and pay a lawyer to prove that it’s not a firearm.

So whatever reason the owner says for not selling you a gun would basically be a “business decision” and you just move on and find another dealer.

Yeah, I say out him. What are the chances that you get sued for libel? and it's not libel if it's the truth.

please keep us updated. I just recently did a change of address (August 15) and the last email I got was "criminal history check completed". I'm hoping it doesn't take 5 months just for a change of address. I saw a post on reddit that said they don't issue cards anymore for a change of address, you just get a letter.
