  1. Have you tried shooting with harder primers..maybe like wolf? Does the firing pin move freely in the bolt? typically when the firing pin is dirty or for whatever reason hung up in the bolt, a slam fire can occur.
  2. can you describe the situation? whats going on? maybe we can help you.
  3. I've been on a quest to leave for 10 years now. Here's a tip for all of you single guys...move first then get married. I got married and my Italian wife cant separate herself from her mother. We almost bought in PA, but my asshole Mother in Law did everything she could to prevent it. The process is moving along, but much slower. This state is a shithole. I don't care how good the Diners, pizza, bagels, and cannolis are...its an over-taxed, over-regulated, rude, congested, and disgusting dump. There's no reason why one should pay 12-25k in property taxes and drive on roads that have so many potholes they're similar to the surface of the moon. There's no reason why someone who pays 12-25k in property taxes should wait 3 days for their street to get plowed. The influx of transplants from NYC are quickly turning central jersey into Staten Island or Brooklyn. If i wanted to live NYC, I would have moved there. I'm tired of dealing with these nasty people in stores and on the roads. Unfortunately the transplants have destroyed their own state and are trying to put the final nail in the coffin of NJ. This isn't even getting into the gun laws.
  4. If it were me, i'd buy the tools. Its just satisfying to do. Plus i'm never happy with anyone's work.
  5. Are you shooting with a bead, rifle sights, or a scope?
  6. I'm a righty. Revolver speed loaders are on right side. Semi auto magazines are on my left.
  7. there were Norinco 223 magazines that i have purchased. The following needs a little work, but they 15rds
  8. My wife and i looked at Riegelsville. We missed the boat a few years ago but have been searching for something that is suitable. Lately we've been just contemplating a move to NC.
  9. but...But..BUT.....What if....!!!!! People can overcome anything if they need to/want to. I remember when i was a kid, my mom bought a bunch of beautiful Christmas cards. They all had oil painted prints on the front. The back of the card explained that they were painted by vets without arms, either by mouth or foot.
  10. The only hangup for these is the thin barrel. I would love to rebarrel one for a .750 barrel. Its really an underrated rifle. Nice and light, easy to use, points well, low sight over bore.
  11. not sure if im jealous or i just went straight to hate you....
  12. you can run a birdshead grip if you're set on not running a stock. I never liked any kind of PG or PG stock on a 500...the action release is awkward with a PG
  13. How do you like the Charlotte area? My wife and i spend some time there looking at neighborhoods near Concord, Mooresville, Kannapolis, etc.
  14. I hope that shit hole breaks off and falls into the ocean...then again i also hope for an asteroid impact on Staten Island lol.
  15. Ive gone every year since becoming a member there. Unfortunately ive been fighting a cold and couldn't make it this year.
  16. what about drilling and threading a set screw? Install the assembly, drill through the handguard into the barrel nut (slightly). Thread the aluminum and install a setscrew. It wont walk forward.
  17. If i remember the way the law is written...for rifles and pistols its the 2 offending features, but for semi auto shotguns it's one. You didnt happen to be at cheyenne mountain a few weeks ago were you?
  18. Just remember that they cant speak for themselves, so they rely on you to do whats best. When the time comes, ask yourself, are you keeping the dog around for you or him? Good luck with everything.
  19. Ive used it in very limited amounts when running a ton of nitrous as added insurance. depending on the car you could probably add it to an almost full tank, but as mentioned before it has lead in it. Not good for O2 sensors and Cats
  20. i know its a hike for you...but CJRPC is great.
  21. Hope you're feeling better. I went through this last summer. It wasn't fun. The asshole doctor in the ER didn't pick up that it was appendicitis for 8 hrs. Then it burst. He wasn't worth shit, but the surgeon was awesome. I have a huge scar from the incision, and another from the drain.
  22. I would like to setup a 3 gun match at CJRPC using the GP range while working around the rules there, but to be honest, I think i'm going to just get fed up with all of the peanut gallery BS that goes on there. As for Targets...Steel plates are where its at. I would recommend investing in a rifle plate and a nice stand.
  23. It seems that you shouldnt have a problem finding a home, all of the NYers seem to have moved to central jersey!
  24. i didn't realize that when you put a shell into the magazine of a browning a5 with the bolt locked back, it automatically chambers the shell and slams the bolt shut....on my pinky.
  25. My dad has the same thing and Dick's told him the same thing. Dick's also makes up a lot of their own rules. I would call the NJSP to see what they say, talk to 5 people. You'll get 5 different answers, so just pick the one that sounds the best.
