Dick's Just Became Part Of The Story.....
WhiskeyTangoFoxtrot replied to Rob0115's topic in Ranges & Gun Shops
Pretty sure the Parkland scumbag bought his AR at Sunrise Tactical and not Dick's. Hey may have bought other stuff at Dick's, but it's neither here nor there. Dick's sucks. http://www.nydailynews.com/news/national/owners-business-sold-gun-nikolas-cruz-shutter-shop-article-1.3825134 -
Dick's Just Became Part Of The Story.....
WhiskeyTangoFoxtrot replied to Rob0115's topic in Ranges & Gun Shops
Worse than that. Dick’s stopped selling AR’s after Sandy Hook. They’re just getting in for free publicity. -
Nice with a visit to Pop’s for a burger and craft beer or even Weyerbacher.

TL;DR. Lol What do you want? Do you: 1) want to close the gun show loophole? 2) bring all semi automatic guns under NFA Class 3? 3) ban all AR-15’s? what do you want? Tell me. Because, the mofo Nikolas Cruz passed a NICS check. Tell me what you want rather than posting a TLDR Blog post and copy and paste from a news article. You are the most mentally lazy driveler ever. Give me an ask and I will tell you my bid (because I’m a trader)

I’ve been out of the loop on the latest out of Trenton (too depressing). So, what guns will likely be kosher under the new regime without major modifications or pinning of mags (No, I’m not putting an ugly ass AR-15 stock on a BCM or pinning down a Glock mag to 7 rounds) I’m thinking low cap handguns and long guns without pistol grip: 1911’s wheel guns Garands M1A Bolt Action (Ruger Precision) Shotguns without a pistol grip (trap, skeet, Benelli M4) Yes, “I will not comply” but I’m not looking to get jammed up for 5 years because of happenstance either.

The Governor's Ongoing Rhetoric...

They were going door to door during the Plainfield riots. Lol -
Fee For Service (FFS) healthcare baby. Do you think every time a doctor says they want to see you again in X# weeks it’s not for their benefit as much as it is yours? Healthcare is a volume-based business. Don’t take it personal as if it was a “shake down”. It’s just the way the system works. Plus, let’s be honest. It’s his reputation on the line too. Does he really *know* *know* you? What if you go out and do something stupid and it leads back to him and that form. He’ll be crucified. What’s in it for him then?

Smith & Wesson Model 41 .22
WhiskeyTangoFoxtrot replied to Haddoncoach's topic in Rimfire Pistols & Rifles
50K-100K rounds down the pipe before major servicing is a win in my book. Lol I like my S&W Model 41 as it’s a classic. Something I would pass on to my kid. Would I pay $1,000+ for one? No, but if I got a clean one in the $800 +/- range from GB or private party, I know I would not lose money on it as a shooter as long as I didn’t abuse it or do something stupid like scratch the bluing. There’s a collector market and somewhat limited supply. Also, the barrels are easily interchangeable so you can get a Clark Custom with an Ultradot or what not if you’re really serious about Bullseye. Rimfire Central is a great place to learn more and ask any questions. -
Some inspiration: http://www.pbs.org/show/bbq-franklin/episodes/ I get my cuts of meat from Restaurant Depot but YMMV. I get my smoking wood from Walmart or Uncle Robby’s Smoking Wood in Elizabeth if your looking to experiment with smoke. “M1A1” dry rub recipe below: As stated previously, I've since refined with the addition of paprika. Also, one should consider this an overnight rub, particularly if it's going on the smoke. Unless your heat is going to get over about 220° F to carmelize the sugars, the bark (if there even is one) will be harsh. If you're doing it the same day, be sure and minimize the remaining dry rub before putting it to the heat. M1A1 Dry Rub 1/2 cup brown sugar packed 3 tbs salt 1 tbs chili powder 1 tsp black pepper 1 tsp cayenne 1 tsp paprika 1 tsp crushed thyme 1 tsp onion powder 1 tsp garlic powder The term 'dry rub' is somewhat misleading, as I primarily use this as a 'dry marinade'. 'Dry Marinade' is also somewhat misleading, as a marinade is a liquid. The point is that the proper use of a dry rub is to coat the meat entirely and let it sit refrigerated overnight in a bag, take the meat out to room temp the next day and then grill OR smoke. Since this recipe is relatively high in sugar content to what is commercially sold as 'dry rub'- salt- you should use it right. If you are grilling, your grill should be well over 220° F. The term 'grill' intones that you are going to sear some By God Grill Marks on that murdermeat so get that prick up there white hot- that'll sear it proper and cook the rub in. If your grill is cold the rub won't cook and the flavors can remain bitter, and you'll cook every entire inch of that poor cow until everyone just laughs at you. If you are smoking, your smoker temp should be between 200-220° F. If you are using it as an overnight marinade, let it sit on the counter on a grill over a dish until the outside temp is ambient. If you are grilling candyass steaks less than an inch thick, you might want to scrape some of the syrup off at this point or, probably better, just sprinkle it on and gently rub then remove overage a couple few hours before grilling. I rarely answer questions with a yes or no.

ar15 to 22lr conversion kits best option
WhiskeyTangoFoxtrot replied to AR15AHOLIC's topic in AR Discussion
I’ve tried the bolt and dedicated upper (Ciener/Kuehl) which is basically the same design everyone uses. After so many rounds, the fouling from the 22lr rounds causes my set-up to be a jam-o-matic. I would stick with dedicated 15-22 given the price differential. -
Well, if you need an HD weapon, go big or go home...

Not sure what the security is but from what I can recall, it’s a glass door and glass cases there. Smash and grab perhaps. Years ago, some guys did that at a Costco to the jewelry case in broad daylight while they were open. Brazen stuff happens. Who knows.

Ghost Firearms Training?
WhiskeyTangoFoxtrot replied to shooter28's topic in Training Techniques and Tools
From what I heard, the instructors took the BHT course and basically copied the course verbatim. Both outfits rent out the Mifflin County Sportsman Assoc private range there. -
As I see it, the options are: 1) I-80 Stroudsburg/Poconos 2) I-78 Easton/LHV 3) I-276 Trenton / Yardley The sky is the limit in terms of how far into PA you want to go, but it seems to get cheaper the farther you are from New Jermany. None is particularly appetizing commuter-wise. I-78 rush hour traffic is no joke and Trenton/NEC into NYC is helluva long ride. I'm looking at Montgomery County area since I can work from home now. I'm researching on PAFOA. As others have said, 1) Save about 3-4% on income tax (that is NOT insignificant) 2) Car insurance rates cheaper= 3) Gun club memberships seem to average $100 per year. I reluctantly just paid ~$400+ for OBRPC because I couldn't get my work hours in. I'm looking at Lower Providence Rod and Gun. New Holland RPC is close by. Also, puts me closer to Mifflin County Sportsman for a 1,000 yarder for the Ruger Precision. 4) Not sure about property taxes, but I assume they can't be worse As my accountant told me this weekend, it's not how much money you make, it's how much you take home.

I’ve heard good things about alarm.com and alarmrelay.com. SMS Security is a local guy in North Jersey I’ve heard good things about as well. -
