  1. Thanks. I'm guessing Wild Violet?? The leaves look much bigger than Creeping Charlie. I think? @Scorpio64 will know for certain.
  2. What is this weed and, more importantly, what do I use to get rid if it? It's spreading throughout my lawn.
  3. PA should definitely be Yuengling. Probably NJ as well. Whoever made this map obviously invested ZERO time in research. Just sayin'.

    Bitcoin...

JOHNATHAN GALT & CHRIS MILBURN understand. In reality ANYTHING can be Ponzi scheme. The autor of the article says, "With regulated securities, such as stocks and bonds, investors receive a combination of interest payments, dividends, and cash flows, making these, at the very least, a zero-sum endeavour. With crypto, however, investors receive none of these, only benefiting from a potential rise in price — the so-called greater fool theory." It doesn't sound like the author understands that there are MANY non-dividend stocks and even bonds which pay no interest or dividends. I can give you NUMEROUS examples of "regulated securites" which were complete frauds. And A LOT of equities securites (stocks) don't benefite from anything but a "potential rise in price". That doesn't make them "ponzi schemes". Capital appreciation is generally why MOST people invest in stocks and mutual funds. As noted by Chris Milburn's comment in the article, Bitcoin is no more of a ponzi scheme than the USD or any other fiat currency. Crypto currencies hold no more or less of a risk than stocks. You can't lose more than you put in. They are both potentially zero-sum endeavours. Never put more into ANY investment than you are willing to lose.
  5. These guys did a review of several different "survival" type / freeze dried foods that is over an hour long. I didn't watch the entire video. They summarize their "findings' in this concise write up. As many things it comes down to what you value most. I would be a bit wary of any reviewer who is also being paid to advertise the product or who is selling the product. I'm sure there are many other similiar videos out there comparing these different brands. This is just the first one I stumbled across. Maybe buy a few of the the same kind of the most highly rated and see which you enjoy yourself. Everyone's tastes are going to be different. https://www.equip2endure.com/blog/best-survival-food/
  6. Nothing wrong with ground blinds. I feel like you have to be even more dedicated to use a ground blind. Last deer I took came with in 10-15 feet of my ground blind. I was hardly breathing. Moving VERY slowly to bring my rifle up. I actually had to wait for the deer to move further away so I would see it properly through my scope to take a good clean shot. Each have their advantages and disadvantages. At the end of the day, even if you didn't get anything, if you still enjoyed yourself then you are doing something right.
  7. @kc17 Good for you! Introducing several new, younger people to shooting. It's been a while since I've taken a new shooter to the range. But it's always been a positive experience for everyone involved! I need to start doing it again.
  8. My wife has been hoarding every plastic bag she can. She double bags EVERYTHING at self checkout. When the dark days descend I will have a YUGE, truly a sight to behold, stash of contraband! I'll make a killing on the black market of plastic grocery bags!!
  9. Cucumbers are WAY out in front after just eight days. Have some sprouts starting on some tomatoes (beefsteak & Rutgers), summer squash and zucchini as well. Beans and sweet peppers have yet to make an appearance. Hopefully soon.
  10. I would watch some night hunting videos (mostly hog hunting) to get some different ideas.
  11. Perfect example. If only pots, planting soil, grow lights, etc were illegal this criminal enterprise could have been avoided!! https://www.pahomepage.com/news/crime-courts/scranton-police-bust-marijuana-grow-house-worth-1-4m/ Sarcasm off...
  12. Want to explain it in terms that liberal may understand? Ask they if the federal governement should outlaw or strictly regulated: Grow lights Plant fertilizer Pots for growing plants Seed Starter Trays Gardening tools All of the above ARE used in illegally growing marijuana. Should everything and anything that could possible be used to grow and harvest marijuana be illegal? You can change the assosicated supporting paraphernalia to any drug or activity that liberals enjoy. It's all just as absurd.
  13. That's a SOLID looking sandwich!! Great. Now I'm hungry for one.....lol.
  14. Time to drop the hammer of Thor on him. Try to record your conversation with him. If he's this blatant about it then it should be simple to get him to admit to everything he's done. Then give the recordings to the authorities. Police, Postal Inspectors, ATF, etc,, etc. Can you cancel payment or put stop payment? Sorry to hear you got taken advantage of.
  15. Two days isn't a lot of time. But he SHOULD have returned a text. But then texts are easy to forget about. Especially if getting A LOT of them from different people. But stuff does happen. He could have health issue and be in hospital? Have you tried calling his business number or land line to get a hold of someone else to inquire? If he runs a pawn shop there are probably other employees I would assume. I would give it through the weekend. Leave a courteous voice-mail on cell saying you are just touching base and wondering when you can expect shipping confirmation. If no answer try land line at place of business.. If no reply or update by Monday call and leave VM calmly stating you are canceling the order. Hopefully you paid via credit card or some form of payment you can cancel. Then notify the proper authorities and out him here and anywhere else. Unfortunately scammers are EVERYWHERE these days. And anything can be faked. Fake websites that look legit, fake DL, fake FFL paperwork etc. Hopefully he's just bad at getting back to people and really busy. I've heard crazier stories. Keep us updated and hopefully it all works out.
  16. Been waiting two years to buy 30/30 ammo at something other than ridiculous pricing. Saw some 30/30 Hornady 165 grain flex tips pop up last year and bought them. Also picked up some Leverolution Powder. Just need some large rifle primers now. Guess I'll need to buy a single stage press now as well.
  17. TargetsportsUSA had some by the case (5k). But they were $650 total for shipping and NJ tax. They still have in stock but they are Remington SPP. They also hav CCI SRP in stock. Is it pricey. Yes. But it's better than trying to scrap together 1k here and one 1k there (if you can find any). And honestly it's not THAT much more. Last year I was buying online and it was $105 with shipping and hazmat. I'm sure prices are probably even a little more now. And like I said, that's if you can find them. https://www.targetsportsusa.com/small-pistol-c-2807.aspx
  18. It's up to about $105 now for regular CCI. Benchrest & "Gold" are even more.
  19. Crabgrass Preventer down a few days ago. Threw down 4 bags of Miogranite today on my lawn and neigbhors back lawn (I mow their lawn and thrown down some fert for for a small nomimal fee). Supposed to rain the next few days. Hopefully lawn will be looking good soon!
