  1. Thanks for the info. I saw that last night and had another "someone must have said something" moments.
  2. She's not the first person to be stereotyped and demonized by the media and I am sure she won't be the last.
  3. It seems to be stuck at $3000-ish... I think it sunk to $2000 last July.
  4. Does 90% junk silver reach (or even come close to) precious metal status?
  5. There was that recent bagged salad recall, but I have also seen intermittent gaps in some foods for several weeks now. The setback with Aldi is that when they don't have one of their two food options,, their shelves look really bare. One of the local milk,/dairy suppliers at my local Shop Rite had a notice on the cooler about having less size variety on milk due to staffing issues. I have been buying extra non-perishables to prep for a potential shortage.
  6. I'm slowly building up that stash of cash.
  7. The hospital I work at is trying to work around the no-longer standard 10 days off after a positive corona virus test, due to the high number of employees out. It is now 5 days if they are not symptomatic.
  8. This state makes my eyes roll. Not only do democrats here write highly restrictive and unconstitutional gun control bills, but they are ignorant along with their arrogance and forget to write in exceptions for their chosen few (law enforcement) they believe are worthy of carrying a firearm. People under LEOSA would probably have been screwed too on this one. Sadly, this bill will pass eventually, probably sooner than later. As nice as it would be, I dont see a red wave hitting this state to change the majority any time soon.
  9. I agree, hence my "for now," knowing that there is so very little to keep this stuff from becoming law in this state. Sadly, I expected all of the bills to easily pass the committee level in both houses. I have a good conservative senator (Doherty), but he is only one of a very few.
  10. It looks better for now. If I read the NRA article correctly, the only bill to pass out of committee in the senate (with amendments) is what they now call the handgun registration bill for new residents.
  11. It is ironic and frustrating how people get significantly "criminalized" in this state when it comes to the second amendment, while marijuana has been significantly decriminalized. I don't have all the details at the moment, but my wife was at a meeting with law enforcement and a county prosecutor, where they were explaining how difficult it is now to charge someone with intent to sell, after they get their "warning" the first time they are caught. It's time to leave.
  12. They have SKS's at a decent price too!
  13. There has to be a court system that is willing to rule on the case. That worked in Pennsylvania when Pittsburgh knowingly passed laws more restrictive than the state law. Sadly, some lawmakers pass laws knowing they are illegal, but appear to get satisfaction in watching the court system wait what feels like a long time to rule on it. Isn't that magazine restriction case in California still in some level of level limbo? No New Jersey court is going to rule in our favor, but that's just stating the obvious.
  14. Logic dies with this bill, not that logic hasn't already been badly tortured and beaten with previous bills and laws here. A safe, by its name, is just that. If a safe works for a legislator's stash of cash from gun control groups, then it works for my gun. If there is that much worry of a safe with a firearm being compromised, logic dictates that the second "safe" with ammunition is just as easily compromised. On a side note, it is interesting and very assumptive that one only needs a "container" for ammunition assuming a container is small and portable, such as in the transportation exemption. It will either be more expensive...or creative... to lock up every cartridge.
  15. I wonder if the Democrats in Trenton know that there is already a firearms storage law on the books. Maybe they really believe these laws will make Newark, Camden, and Trenton safer. Now that's a scary thought.
  16. I do not have a house/mortgage in my name but I am a resident at that location per my driver's license. Sometimes concealed storage or semi concealed storage is the best way to go until something better comes along. Keep your stuff!
  17. Yes. Bombardier makes my small portfolio smile. I think I bought it at .55. Thanks for the tip!
  18. Amazing (and dangerous) journey! It is interesting how countries initially employed explorers from other countries. Henry Hudson also comes to mind, sailing for the Dutch right in the middle of the English settlements!
  19. I think the legislature has flirted with the idea once or twice, but it hasn't gotten far...sofar.
  20. These days, most anything financial can go belly up except for the government (sofar) or things approved and backed by the government. Things NOT liked by the government may take a hit, but that would be many more things other than cryptocurrency. With that in mind, invest accordingly.
  21. I am hoping that MVIS and POWW can make some post-September recoveries.
  22. Didn't Kahr arms move to Pennsylvania? Tennessee is a great state, and their low property taxes makes them even greater.
