HR 127 from everyone's favorite Texas Idiot

Recommended Posts

https://www.congress.gov/bill/117th-congress/house-bill/127/text

To provide for the licensing of firearm and ammunition possession and the registration of firearms, and to prohibit the possession of certain ammunition.

IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES
January 4, 2021

Ms. Jackson Lee introduced the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on the Judiciary

Read the entire bill and prepare to get sick.

The highlights (or more accurately, lowlights):

Registration and publicly accessible Federal database

$800 registration fee

10 round limit on mags

No grandfathering

As someone said on arfcom earlier today, it's time to meet in the Liberty Orchard with our watering cans.

In this case “registration” means every firearm you own and where in the house it is stored.  On a public accessible database.    They can get fucked.

Sounds like the opening salvo from the democrats

That will be their starting point and expect a "compromise". By compromise I mean a lesser restriction of rights with nothing in return.

Support The Firearms Policy Coalition - they have a big writeup on how horrendous this truly is.

https://www.firearmspolicy.org/stop_hr_127

HR 127 would your private information available to anti-gunners and thieves, who can then dox or attack you.

It would bump the age of ownership of ANY Firearm to 21 by requiring licensing.  There's different types of licensing as well - general, "antique display" and "military style weapons"... what?!

24 hours of mandatory training?!  Who's going to do that, and who has time for that?!

It also bumps the penalties up - if you're in possession of a firearm without a license, it's a $75,000 to $150,000 fine + mandatory 15 year prison sentence... this is worse than armed robbery.

This needs to be fought tooth and nail.

Brandon Herrera even put up a video about it.

Fines & prison term would be less for an unregistered machinegun.

Hopefully this bill will be her undoing in her district.

Any moron in congress, and there are lots of them, who votes for this is in danger of committing political suicide.

There are a lot of dems who own guns and will not be happy with this. My P226 MK25 was used by the Navy, does that make my pistol a military style weapon? She's an F'n moron. What are you Texans thinking electing her? Al Greene is even worse.

Im amazed at the people who think we are still having free and fair elections. THe constitutional landscape will change...and change fast. They are consolidating power. I do not care who may think its conspiracy...the election was stolen. Now conservative voices are being silenced and threatened to be thrown off air or sued. We have  walls, checkpoints and thousands of troops surrounding our capitol. I forgot the count what are we at now...? Over 40 EO's? And now the worst gun bill i have ever seen, geared to literally strip us of the second amendment. It turns the 2a into a privelege to be doled out by blossoming dictatorship.  The midterms are two years off...and biggest voice is Marjorie Greene...talking about ...impeachment..?wtf? We dont have the house, we are tied in the senate and they have the executive office....why is she not talking about election reform and overhaul in her state which was overrun with massive fraud....because...whether its Marjorie, Ted , Hawley, Graham, McConnel...it does not matter....it is ALL theatre. Our republic is dead. We  are no longer represented...and they are coming.

Looks like the Dems have given up on boiling the frog slowly, and are just going to throw the lobster into the boiling water and watch it scream.

Too bad lobsters don't have rifles.

So what's at the end of that dangerous road?

New Mexico—A cool March morning, 2022, San Juan County Sheriff Shane Ferrari stood at the head of his deputies and armed local citizens, as they protected the home of Joe Q. Citizen from an unconstitutional raid designed to confiscate Citizen’s guns. “This is an unconstitutional gun-grab measure,” Ferrari said (to a reporter covering the confrontation) regarding the state law backed up by presidential executive order, supposedly authorizing such a raid—a law signed back in 2019 by then-Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham, a Democrat, and order signed by President Joe Biden before he was unceremoniously removed by the Democrat Party, in favor of Harris.

Just as he finished talking, the lead ATF agent stepped forward and spoke into a bullhorn, “Sheriff Ferrari! You and your men are in violation of federal and state laws. By order of President Kamala Harris, You are hereby ordered to drop your weapons and surrender to federal and state authorities immediately.”

Maybe in free states. Here it would look more like Waco or the Alamo if anyone dare resist.

    • We never let then inside.  Last re-evaluation was 6-7 years ago, wife politely told him that he was welcome to look around the property and he could look in the windows. He saw two white resin chairs in the basement and told her that this constituted a finished basement. And everything in the basement is bare concrete/ cinder block, and mechanical systems. Nothing finished about it. Ultimately he relented and I'm sure that was a ploy to coerce us to allow him in

    • The  12-1 compression ratio L88 is long gone. This is GM's updated version. it might be  pump gas 10-1 engine The L88 was a aluminum head  cast iron block engine with a nasty solid lifter cam. the  ZL1 was a all aluminum  12 or 13-1 compression ratio engine with the best forged internal parts at the time and had a even nastier solid lifter cam
    • I like my regular carry holster.  OWB leather with belt slots.  I've been carrying for over a year and it was comfortable and I hardly even noticed it.  I carry (usually) a Ruger LCP .380 - light, convenient, tiny. But...today I ended up taking it off an leaving it home after a few hours. I cut down a big maple tree a few days ago and I spent 3/4 of today loading and unloading firewood into the back of my truck and a trailer.  It was a warm day, I was dirty, tired, sweaty, and my holster was rubbing against my side.  The leather and exposed metal snap was no longer comfortable. I'm thinking about adding a layer of something to that part of the holster to soften the contact.  Anything insulating will make it worse.  I don't want a sweaty, hotter holster against my skin.  I'm imagining something thin, breathable, that won't absorb sweat, and softer than leather, metal snaps, and rivets.   But I have no idea what would work. I'm hoping somebody else has already figured this out and I can just do what they did. Any suggestions appreciated.
