Taurus 1911 chambered for 38 super..

 

Gave it a good bath, coated with cosmaline and full of machining dust, could have been from slide fit and the polishing they put on this thing but it was full of it..

 

lubed up after cleaning and runs very smooth now..

should be a very nice piece..

They will never see it unless something major happens to it..

like a cracked frame.. or something along those lines..

 

the actual fit and finish is very good accept for the manufacturing debri left behind which warrants the bath..

I have been wanting one for a long time. This should be a good shooter after doing some research I went with the taurus because of all the features that come factory.

Taurus coated it with cosmaline, so i washed it with very hot water and dawn dish detergent..

 

had to use rubber gloves to handle the parts while i scrubbed them..

hmmm I think my revolvers could benifit from a bath. I got it new and it seems to have some kind of oil over it that wont really come off.
