BCeagle 12 Posted January 24, 2010 Found a new website and prices seem ridiculously good, the scope below was $60 more at optics planet. I am at a loss on the base, there seem to be so many options. I assumed anything I bought would be a Burris or Leupold, but leaning towards the Burris to match the rings. I originally was going with the burris signatre dovetail mounts below but want to make sure I'm not shortchaning myself, there seem to be a million different types. Its all going to be mounted on a Remington 700 and to be used for targets shooting until the fall. 1-Nikon 6469 Buckmaster 4.5-14x40 SF Mtt MilDt 2-Burris 420501 Signature 1" Rings Med, Blk Matte 3-Burris 410593 DD 2 Pc Matte Rem 700 Short & Lng
Maksim 1,504 Posted January 24, 2010 the buckmaster is a nice scope. brother has one on his AR. pretty clear. Only thing is, are you going to be happy with 14x power.
BCeagle 12 Posted January 24, 2010 I actually wanted the 3x9 but didnt come with the mildot and I just started learning how to use it, I think the 3x9 only came with the BDC or Nikoplex reticle (but was only $165). I was told anything more then 12x was unneccessary. I actually saw a 4-12x50 for about $30 bucks more but also not mildt. Edit: Forget it the 4.5-14x40 is the only mildot sub $300, for $350 it is a 4x16.
Shane45 807 Posted January 29, 2010 If you are shooting on known distance ranges, why do you want a mildot?
