Trouble Getting FID

I have applied in September for my FID and every time I call I'm told that they are very busy and they will call me when it is ready. What avenues do I have to follow-up on this?

What town? Unfortunately 5 months is not unheard of in NJ.

 

There are several avenues, it just depends on how far you want to take it. If you do a search on here, you will see there are quite a few people who are err were in the same boat as you.

 

Maybe ANJRPC? I'm not to familiar with them, I'm sure some people on here will be able to let you know if they will help you or not.

Good ol' Toms River....Trudy Dennis is usually pretty good....as long as you are nice to her. I don't even know if she is still doing them.

Tom's river is usually around 6 to 7 months? wsl waiting that long I believe... and a few others.

Best Advice: Hire a lawyer unless you want to keep on waiting. My police department was playing games until I hired a lawyer to take care of it.

Are all of your references in? Mine was delayed quite a bit due to a lost reference that was mailed from the same town. :?
