Scottcba1 8 Posted September 2, 2010 Im going camping in upstate NY in a few weeks and I was wondering what I have to do to bring my firearms with me and still be legal? I wanted to go shooting with my uncles while we were up there and I mentioned that I have picked up a couple guns and would bring them but I failed to check the laws first. njJoniGuy 2,133 Posted June 30, 2012 Nope - no 15 round AR mags even for a weekend - unless they were made prior to September 1994 (pre-ban) A weekend in NYS with a post-ban mag larger than 10 rounds will earn you a longer stay compliments of Andrew Cuomo and his goons.
